Enjoy Your Lobster While You Can

New Scientist is reporting that lobsters can feel pain.

Why should you care? Because to cook a lobster properly, you have to chuck it into the boiling water while it's still alive.

Since no self-respecting liberal bureauweenie would put human interests ahead of sensitivity to invertebrates, this could be bad news for seafood aficionados.

Something else for moonbats to take away.

On a tip from El Presidente.

Good, maybe the 'self feeling' moonbats will quit eating them and the price will drop.

If you read the story provided in the "lobsters can feel pain" link, you'll read that the artical subtly accuses christianity of accepting violence against animals while praising Islam for condoning it. Just wanted to point that out. Overall, I found the article very slanted.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to Long John Silver's.

I'll stop eating lobster if I can still boil liberals alive.

Cool! My favorite lobster is at The Palm in Houston, where they kill it first and then BROIL it, only boiling the claws. The Palm's lobster blows away every other restaurant IMHO. Expensive but worth every penny.

If the liberals ban lobsters, We can just dredge Hillary in corn meal and drop her in the peanut oil,

If the government bureaucrats ban lobsters; only government bureaucrats will have lobsters.

It's inescapable that animals are a primary food-source, but throwing a living, breathing, sentient creature into boiling water is discretionary.

That lobsters feel pain should come as no surprise: they have an elaborate, well developed nervous system with reflexes and sensory mechanisms. The referenced article is a mess, confusing a number of topics in science and history, and equates pain with suffering.

Its disappointing that the otherwise fine Moonbattery site every so often posts snotty comments about animal pain. This seems to have the intent to show how liberals prefer animal rights over the affairs of people.

Maybe they do; so what? Liberals are wrong about almost everthing.

But its just interesting that you never hear a discussion about the maltreatment of animals (no matter how brutal) that there isn't some genius who doesn't try and prioritize the human condition to it.

Junk.
