Dave Matthews: A Human Is of No More Value Than a Plant

Brace yourself for a glimpse of the chilling ideology that pervades the entertainment industry. Via NewsBusters, here's pop star Dave Matthews' view of the cosmos, from an interview with Rolling Stone:

The idea that we're somehow centrally important to the planet's existence is pretty comical — although I'd like us to be. I'd like to think that the eyes of some heavenly body are watching us and saying, "Oh, look at my beautiful children." But it's absurd. It's just our attempt to be more important than a tree.

So that's how liberals can justify their support for abortion. A human being is of no more significance than a plant. No wonder they apologize for the genocide committed by fiends like Mao and Stalin, and righteously extol vicious killers like Tookie Williams and Mumia Abu-Jamal. Killing people has no more moral significance than pulling up a weed.

The trendy clowns at Rolling Stone invited Matthews to paint himself as courageous and nonconformist for rejecting religion like virtually everyone else in the entertainment industry. This prompted Matthews to boldly assert that the Judeo-Christian notion of God is "so small a view of things" and "more irritating than Santa Claus."

But not as irritating as hollow, degenerate pop stars basking in the praise of the aging adolescents who produce morally deformed publications like Rolling Stone.

I hated Dave Matthews before it was cool to hate him.

"Shocking and controversial" has become "boring and retarded", it's nothing we haven't seen a couple of hundred times before.

Go away, Liberals. Just.... just go away.

Kind of agree with him...that's why some of the global warming hype about saving the planet is BS. Planet earth is going no where, live will continue with or without so-called global warming. Al Gore, Dave Matthews, etc. can stopped shedding tears over warming.

(Though if D. Matthews is concerned about the environment, I sugget he volunteer that a $20 per ticket surcharge be levied against all tix sales to his concerts. Such events result in thousands and thousands to hop in their vehicles to attend a really insignificant and unimportant event, so a consumer tax should be charged.

So, the next time I get the urge to chop down a tree, I should just shoot an overrated musician ?
