Chevy Chase Confronts the Apocalypse
Wouldn't you know it: Chevy Chase — who built a career on his eerily accurate impersonation of a dimwitted clod — has fallen for the global warming hoax.
He and his wife are founders of the Center for Environmental Education. They live in Bedford, in Westchester County, New York, where they will be attending a special meeting at which bureauweenies will decide how Bedford can avert the impending climate change apocalypse.
This historic task will reportedly entail reducing the village's energy consumption, offering tips on "greening your home or business," and introducing a new "green page," on Bedford's website, which will offer tips on recycling and energy efficiency.
If the planet doesn't go up like a match head from global warming within the next few years as the media has led us to expect, we'll know whom to thank.
Chase, who holds a BA from Bard College, is best known for calling President Bush (degrees from Yale and Harvard) a "dumb fuck" at a People for the American Way benefit at the Kennedy Center. Yet another one to file under "Pot and Kettle."

On a tip from Wiggins.

Chase's wife Jayni has done a lot for the enviornment; many years before Al Gore made it "cool". What's wrong with that?
Is there room for conservative people who don't believe the sky is falling - but believe in common sense things like recycling and being energy efficient.
Of course he shouldn't have called the president a "dumbf***"
