Boorish Chavez Told to Shut Up

Hugo Chavez's infantile bellicosity makes him a hero to other moonbats, but the grownups at the Ibero-American summit in Santiago, Chile this weekend were less impressed.

Chavez denounced former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar as a "fascist," and announced:

Fascists are not human. A snake is more human.

Even Spain's new Prime Minister, socialist Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, was appalled. Showing more maturity and respect that many liberals here will accord our President, he responded:

Former President Aznar was democratically elected by the Spanish people and was a legitimate representative of the Spanish people.

When Chavez kept trying to interrupt, they had to cut off his microphone. Spanish King Juan Carlos turned to Chavez and said, "Why don't you shut up?"

But soon Nicaragua's Daniel Ortega, another liberal heartthrob, took the mic and ceded time to Chavez, who growled:

The Venezuelan government reserves the right to respond to any aggression, anywhere, in any space and in any manner.

Students at Central University in Caracas know just what he means.

Maybe it's not such a good idea to let moonbats run governments.

He needs to be told that more often! Not that he'll listen, of course. The man is insane.

I prefer the actual words the Spanish King used: "Por que no te callas?"

The video of it is awesome.

It would have been even better if the King had just reached over and slapped the silly fool.

Score one for monarchy - how many democratically elected leaders would have had the stones to do that?

"[Because] you do not shut up yourself?"
Chavie may have demanded why his mike was turned off.
Another site says that the King said "Ant, close your mouth."
