Jennifer Granholm: Advance Screening of President Shrillary

For an advance screening of the disaster that will befall us if Shrillary Clinton becomes President, have a look at Michigan, where Governor Jennifer Granholm presides over the sickliest economy in the USA.

Canadian-born Berserkeley alumnus Granholm is remarkably similar to fellow socialist Shrillary in her authoritarian rhetoric. Who could forget these immortal words of the Hilldog:

We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.

Along the same lines, Granholm recently had this to say to those who think she should stop raising taxes:

It's not just about me, me, me. It's about investing in Michigan. Where's the notion of the common good? It's been lost over decades because there's been … this idea that it's your money, it's your money.

Here's socialism in a nutshell: it's not your money. It's the State's money. Because you don't work on your own behalf or the behalf of your family. You work on behalf of the State, which graciously permits you to keep whatever percentage of your earnings it thinks fit.

You thought you had property rights? Don't be so selfish.

Everywhere this larcenous ideology has been applied, the results have been the same. Michigan is certainly no exception. Granholm recently responded to the state's deepening economic crisis by pushing through a $1.48 billion tax increase. The inevitable result is that more companies will follow Comerica Bank, which recently escaped Michigan for a less business-hostile state (Texas). This won't much help Michigan's 7.4% jobless rate, which is already the highest in the country.

But by all means let's try socialism at the national level by electing Shrillary. At least it will put an end to people moving out of Michigan for opportunities elsewhere. Where will they go when the whole country is Michigan?

jennifer-granholm.jpg   In the spirit of Karl Marx's "From each according to his abilities," Granholm tries her hand at a job more suited to her abilities.

It's kinda funny when you think about it. Capitalism works, as proven time and time again. Republicans are supposedly the party of capitalism, but they seem ashamed and embarrassed of it.

Socialism has failed, time and time again. But Democrats are unashamed in their full throttle support for it.

Is there any hope for sanity in the world?

I live in Michigan and I truly detest this Socialist, Cannuck Governor. I was proud to have voted for Dick Devos in November of 2006. The only reason we're still cursed with Jezebel Granholm, is because of the God-forsaken city of Detroit, that dominates all things political in this bankrupt state.

But there is a method to Jenny's madness: Drive all the productive middle-class entrepreneurs and working people out of the state, leaving behind nothing but welfare recipients, state bureaucrats, and union drones. Thus assuring Democrat hegemony forever.

New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts follow a similar philosophy.

Apparently, Half of New Jerseyans want to leave. What? Leave John Corzine's socialist paradise? Why would anyone want to do that?

The downfall of Michigan is correlated to the downfall of the American auto industry. If the US Auto industry goes down, it'll have enormous National security implications, since they're the only industry that can mass produce tanks and other military vehicles. If the US ends up fighting a war of survival against North Korea or even China, who will produce vehicles for those wars if not the Auto industry? Granholm and the UAW could care less about these very serious concerns.

I'm sure that they are all for subsidizing the uncompetitive industry rather than trying to fix it.

We can produce enough tanks to beat North Korea again, but if China gets involved once more that would be a problem. As of right now we can beat them, but their embrace of economic capitalism is strengthening their industry. The long-term future doesnt look so good.

On the bright side a top Chinese official recently admitted that a Nuclear-armed North Korea is a threat to peace.

They are getting more reasonable as they become connected to the global economy. It could be a matter of time before they accept the inevitable... democracy.

Even though there are many ethnic groups in China, their population is still indigenous (and somewhat homogenous). As long as America continues to import the best talent from around the world we will be on top. If China wants to compete for that talent they will have to resign themselves to democracy. These new immigrants would bring new ideas that would be fatal to Chinese totalitarianism.

Sorry to go off topic, but this is a very interesting subject…
