It's Not Just the Heat, It's the Humidity

Still not afraid of global warming? Then listen to this: it's not only going to cause droughts, but also high humidity:

Humidity worldwide has risen 2.2 percent the past 30 years, and the only explanation is global warming from the burning of fossil fuels.

Of course. The War in Iraq has nothing to do with humidity, so that narrows it right down.

Nathan Gillett of the University of East Anglia got himself published in Nature by raising this latest alarm. He says he can't get the numbers to add up in his computer simulations regarding humidity, so fossil fuels must be to blame.

The study concluded that humidity levels are higher in the eastern USA. As for other places, the results are less clear. The study didn't include a measurement of humidity over the oceans that cover most of the planet.

Humidity is a problem because water vapor is among the greenhouse gases that allegedly menace us. No wonder San Francisco has been trying to ban bottled water. Look for Shrillary to propose a tax on H2O.

On a tip from Reid.

Reminds me of that scene in ALIENS when everyone is complaining about the heat near the alien queen Bill Paxton quips "Yeah, but its a dry heat..."

"The study didn't include a measurement of humidity over the oceans that cover most of the planet."

Science!

Just build giant atmosphere processors like they used in ALIENS. Suck that HUMDITITY right out of the air! Then use the water extracted. Simple!

Reminds me of the fools who made WATERWORLD - where 27,000 feet of water miraculously appeared out of nowhere all because of the evil ancients (Us) and the Exxon Valdez! Who needs science when youve got hype and hysteria?

The "University" of East Anglia is well known as a hotbed of AGW activity. Arguably one of the "Big Four" with Hansen's GISS, Mann's Hockey Team and The Hadley Centre.

Also worth remembering that this is one of those "Universities" that was just a crappy polytechnic (state higher miseducation facilities set up by socialists to bring left-wing education to the masses) until they were all rechristened and artificially dignified with the term "University" by our masters a few years ago, thus allowing millions more to go through a second rate degree mill to get "degrees" in basketweaving and the social philosophy of cinema, etc.

As a Brit, I'd like to apologise to the rest of the world for my country playing such a prominent part in The Scam. We were a pretty respectable nation once, you know.

I forget where I heard this, but a few years ago in a movie or TV show someone said "It's not the heat, it's the STUPIDITY".
I quite agree.

Brilliant. So those morons are now stating what many of us who believe in cyclical climate change have known....its water vapour stupid! Something to which mankind and that evil Industrial Revolution have contributed absolutely bupkiss. In a sad sort of way, I'm gonna be laughing my keister off when those assholes in the news media start stating the obvious when our nice warm interglacial climate slides back to 'cold with extreme prejudice'. Better enjoy that warmth now while it lasts!

Ever wonder why the Smoky Mtns. are called "smoky"? Or why the Blue Ridge is "blue"? Lots and lots and lots of trees = hydrocarbons emitted and water vapor (humidity). Guess Al & his gorons will need to cut down those forests to save us!! Of course, it doesn't help when Chinese industrial waste waifs over to our shores on a yearly basis, but I don't see Al and his troop wagging fingers at them.
