Composer Mike Oldfield Unable to Endure British Moonbattery
Mike Oldfield, the multi-millionaire composer who created "Tubular Bells" and helped put Virgin Records on the map, explains why he can't take Britain anymore and has moved to Spain:
It is too intrusive. Imagine if Winston Churchill was given a £50 fine for smoking his cigar. He would never have stood for it.
I don't want to live in a country where a little old lady has to wear a hard hat and a luminous vest just to look after the village green.
It's ludicrous. I had some window cleaners come to my house and they showed me a contract ten pages long full of health-and-safety stuff.
It seems we have lost our freedom. It's just the thought that someone lighting up a harmless roll-up could be fined. I haven't seen any cameras in Spain and you can smoke where you like. […]
I'm not whingeing — it is just a fact of life that the old Great Britain is gone.
Or if it's not, it soon will be — unless Brits rebel against the suffocating moonbattery they've imposed on themselves. Running away won't help, because the moonbattery will follow unless it is confronted and destroyed. Just ask anyone who has moved from California to Seattle or Portland.

On a tip from xantl.

I wonder if he knows about the law Feminists in Spain passed forcing men to do housework?

But then again, he's smart and probably a bachelor who joined the marriage strike a long time ago.

Well yes, we're off to hell in a handbasket here in the UK, but really it's happening everywhere and anyone who feels they've got it a bit easier in their country can just look at us and see what they'll get to eventually. Unless a way can be found to stop the march of the transnationalists, nowhere will escape.
The goal highlighted here is to change the basis of "free society". We're used to the idea of living in a culture where "you may do all which is not specifically prohibited". The new order is one in which "you many only do that for which you are specifically authorised". It's a profound difference. So, you can't tend the village square unless you have permission and a diploma and a certificate and follow all the rules, and so on. It's the "permission society" lolz.
Ultimately, it means somehow breaking the liberal political class, which would mean in turn breaking their nexus in academia, the schools, the bureaucracy, tranzie orgs and the like. How one does that while preserving decency, rule of law and freedom of person I have no idea. You can't pack the entire academic world (for instance) off to the gulag, and neither would one want to. But their meme is a powerful replicator indeed. How on earth one contains it, that's beyond me. It's like jihadism. It's stupid and evil; but how do you change so many minds?
Here in UKay anyway, the government just abolished us as a nation state. We're now a province of the EU, which is tranzie moonbattery personified, so we're out of the game this time, I'm afraid.
Looks like it's going to be down to you Americans again to save the world. Please feel free to invade at some future date. We'll actually be pretty good at setting up a democracy, we had one before so we know the ropes, kind of thing. We're also not suicide bomber insurgency types. We just want to weed the village green in peace. Really.

Ian, I thought Americans were the bad guys...we don't save the world, we ruin it!

The English state - specifically the English state, not the UK or Great Britain, which are both younger entities - is based on one very basic idea, as explained by one Thomas Rainsborough, is that even the very lowest Englishman is governed only by his consent. Our parliament was always based on the idea that its Members have no power of their own, and govern only out of the power lent to them by the people.
This concept is innate in the English character and it will ultimately be the undoing of the tranzis that are trying to rule us. Up until Lisbon the presumption of consent was maintained, at least in superficial appearance, by the idea that the government was acting with the mandate of the people. Now, however, a government has acted without mandate and without permission to hand over powers over which it has no rights to a foreign government. The presumption of consent has been abandoned. The peoples of this island are very patient and long-suffering, but they are only patient for as long as they believe the government is operating with their consent. That lie has been stripped away this week. It will be informative to watch the next few months as people realise just what has actually happened.
My advice is to buy stock in rope-makers and lamp-post manufacturers. A revolution is inevitable now.

Saying tobacco is "harmless" is going a bit too far as non smokers have the right to breath smoke free air. Im glad the days of smoke filled rooms are gone. On the other hand, the laws that prevent people from smoking at all is ridiculous. Areas/rooms set aside for smokers is the way to go; that way nonsmokers can simply avoid those areas.
I missed the John Stossel Global Warming special! I hope they air it again - sounded like he really stuck it to Al Gore Penguin Army.

I'm from Bangor, Maine, USA. We now have a law against smoking in vehicles if a minor is present. So don't get too cocky, you Brits, with all your fancy Socialist Totalitarianism! America is hot on your trail!
The deal will be sealed this coming election, when "We the Sheeple" gleefully anoint either Chairwoman Clinton or Herr Guliani, letting Thomas Jefferson...uh, I mean Ron Paul...slip through our fingers.
Pray for us! (OK now I'm just being melodramatic.)

Tough talk Archonix. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm skeptical. Something tells me Brits are just as lazy as Americans these days when it comes to Revolution.

Why England is rotting
England leads Europe in illiteracy, obesity, divorce, drug use, crime and STDs. Bloody hell!

Speaking of which a man was put in jail and fined for revving his engine while a couple of the protected class were close by.

Get women out of politics and government; revoke women's right to vote.
Problem Solved.

Brilliant analysis, Anon. Gosh, I'm convinced!

I don't think that was quite the answer we were looking for there, Anon, but thanks for your input.

Why is it a troll alert to question women's suffrage? Are you that indoctrinated with Political Correctness?

Anon,
We know what Liberals THINK Conservatives are like. For some idiotic reason, you think that we want to suppress and enslave women, even though we are the ones who criticize those who do. ie: MUSLIMS.
