Yep. May as well stamp 'em on the butt as soon as they emerge from the womb. Only one problem. We don't have any genetic markers to identify them at birth because THERE AREN'T any.

I place "inherent homosexuality" in the same catagory as "global warming due to manmade causes", i.e. heavily politicized bullshit meant to strong-arm nice people into submission. To hell with being nice, I'll stick with the facts.

If homosexuality is not a choice, then it must be entirely genetically determined. If it is entirely genetically determined, then it is a malfunction of genes that causes no offsrping to be produced (guy + guy = no pregnant). If it is a malfunction of genes, then is a DISEASE.

But just try saying that, and that it can be cured or managed just like haemophilia or Parkinson's.

I know a few gay people and all of them say that they've known they were gay from as early as they can remember. On of them says that he remembers that he tried to impress the boys on the beach as a little kid. His father tried to steer him toward the girls but he didn't go for it. It wasn't till later in life that he was sure he was gay. It definately wasn't a choice.
As a diehard conservative, I am really annoyed by all of you who deny that homosexuality is inborn. Who would choose to be gay? Give me a break. I don't condone the behavior but I am not blind to the fact that it is not a choice. Those who aggressively are against gays only stunt the growth of the Republican party and conservative causes. Wake Up!!

Ken, I've worked and lived alongside gays and lesbians for years (rather closely in some cases) so I don't want to sound like I'm some redneck living under a rock as I consider your passionate and sincere comment.

From what I've seen, experienced personally and researched, it's true that initially, the propensity toward homosexual thought process is spurred on by some psychological upset where the child fails to identify with the same-sex parent; for a number of reasons that may escape the person's memory. So in the early stages, it isn't a "choice" but that also doesn't indicate it's genetic either. As you know very well, we all have propensities for various behaviors and do them until we know better. What gripes me is that many homosexuals deny early sexual abuse or parental circumstances that helped push them in the direction that they ultimately DO choose. I know they've experienced abuse because it's been proven over and over again. Also, there are homosexuals who admit freely that they chose their orientation. What of them? Are their "genes" just now expressing themselves late in life? Not likely.

Look, I grew up with a guy whose father raped his own daughters and ignored his son, my friend. Guess what. My buddy never learned to identify with daddy as a male role model because daddy was a monster and an asshole, unworthy of emulation. So my friend had no choice basically but to adopt his mother's feminine identity. He didn't even attempt to pursue heterosexual outlets. Instead, he went to seminary and got infected with HIV. Later he realized that he really wasn't queer after all and then openly regretted that he'd now been robbed of a wife and children due to his decisions in his youth. I've known him since we were in kindergarten and I know for certain he wasn't an "inborn queer". He was a sensitive kid. The truth is more complicated. He had a bad start, he needed supernatural help, he got it and now he's realized what happened all along. Most homosexuals are in denial and get themselves in deeper and deeper. People choose these death styles because they're unwell spiritually and psychologically. We don't help them by encouraging them in their pursuit of this. I will never go that route no matter how much pressure is applied to me. I know better. If that makes me look stupid in everyone else's eyes then so be it.
