Time to Chuck Hagel
The time has come to throw the execrable Chuck Hagel out of the Republican Party. Then when he spews his Democrat talking points, his fellow moonbats won't be able to chirp, "Even a Republican Senator admits that blah blah blah…"
Here's Schmuck denouncing Republican attempts to defend us from Islamic terrorism:
The Republican Party has won two elections on the issue of fear and terrorism. [It's] going to try again.
"Fear" is a buzzword in this context. Standard Democrat procedure is to associate conservatives with the words "fear," "hate," and "corruption" at every opportunity — even if they have to make their own opportunities.
Hagel has decided we need to close down Club Gitmo, lest any useful information be obtained from the vacationing terrorists. According to liberal ideology, terrorists aren't lethal enemies; they're just criminals, in need of lawyers and rehabilitation. We certainly wouldn't want to oppress them by insisting they share information about upcoming terror attacks.
Gitmo has been exploited as a propaganda symbol by America's enemies. But closing it would hardly turn them into friends. The media would spin its closure as a validation of unfounded allegations, before moving on to the next propaganda front.
It would also leave us without a suitable place to detain terrorists. Too bad we can't store a few in the Hagel household.

On a tip from Cheetah.

He sort of has a point. People have forgotten about 9-11. If the Republican party is counting on patriotism and a desire to defend western civilization to carry them through the next election... it's not happening. Too many voters have had their brains softened by daytime TV and just want that big ol' basket of goodies the Demonrats keep promising them.
