Madeleine Albright Joins the Preempt Petraeus Parade

One of the reasons Islamic terrorism was able to fester uncontrolled through the 90s until it had progressed to the level of 9/11 is that astonishingly thick-witted Madeleine Albright was wallowing around the world as Secretary of State. Joining other moonbats in their attempts to preempt General Petraeus' report, Halfbright came out with an essay yesterday, calling on us to disregard military progress in Iraq, and crawl away with our tails between our legs.
The fate of Iraq would then be left to the ballyhooed International Community, featuring the sniveling weenies of the UN, who ran away and hid early in the conflict; the French and Germans, who more or less openly sided with Saddam; Syria, which is currently providing a conduit for foreign terrorists into Iraq; the ever trustworthy Saudis, who provided most of the hijackers on 9/11; and of course Iran, the world's leading state sponsor of Islamic terror.
Over to you, Madeleine:
Iran […] would be unlikely to isolate itself from a broad international program aimed at reconciliation. If it does, it would only hand a political victory to us and to the many Iraqi leaders, Shiite and Sunni alike, who would prefer to minimize Iranian influence.
Unbeknownst to Halfbright, anyone with an IQ in the vertebrate range can see that Iran is not going to stop using terrorism to jockey for position if the only credible resistance to its growing power — America — crawls away in self-imposed defeat.
Being a liberal, Halfbright not only wants us to lose, she wants us to abase ourselves in the process:
President Bush could do his part by admitting what the world knows — that many prewar criticisms of the invasion were on target. Such an admission would be just the shock a serious diplomatic project would need.
It would make it easier for European and Arab leaders to help, as their constituents are reluctant to bail out a President who still insists that he was right and they were wrong. Our troops face death every day; the least the President can do is face the truth.
Here's a truth that is truly difficult to face: If the Dems win in 2008, treasonous retards like Halfbright will be running our foreign policy again.
