Dead Illegal Was Dead Drunk

Mount Kisco, New York police officer George Bubaris is being railroaded in the name of multiculturalism for escorting out of town a publicly drunk illegal alien named Rene Javier Perez who later turned up dead, evidently a victim of the violence that is endemic among the perpetually drunk Guatemalan cavemen who infest the forests of Westchester County.

As always, the left-wing local media have sided with the cavemen, spinning the story to leave the impression that Bubaris took Perez out to some lonely place and killed him, though there is no evidence that happened. But now a glimpse of honesty has poked through the political correctness at the Journal News, which admits that Perez had a blood alcohol level six times the legal limit for driving.

We also learn that Perez — an illegal alien derelict with a long history of public intoxication — regained consciousness while being treated at Westchester Medical Center, where he was described as "confused" and "combative." He soon died of a cardiac arrest despite attempts to revive him.

Bubaris, who was following a standard, time-honored practice by escorting the belligerent drunk out of town, has been thanked for his efforts to preserve the peace by being charged with manslaughter, unlawful imprisonment, and official misconduct. He's out on $100,000 bail, having been suspended without pay.

These days, it's trying to prevent crime that doesn't pay.
