David Shuster's Inept Ambush
A little follow-up on the story of MSNBC brownshirt David Shuster browbeating Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn again and again with her failure to remember the name of the last soldier from her district to be killed in Iraq.
When Shuster sprang his gotcha trap, he identified the soldier as Pvt. Jeremy Bohannon — who as it turns out is not from Blackburn's district. Next time Shuster, prepare a better ambush, so you won't have to go back on the air to apologize.
NewsBusters lists a few other examples of Shuster sacrificing professionalism to moonbattery:
• Last month, he called the Larry Craig scandal a "moral insult" to Hurricane Katrina victims.
• Shuster collaborated with left-wing fabulist Jason Leopold to spread false stories about the Bush admin.
• Giving play to wild accusations of "voter intimidation" in the 2006 elections (in case GOP won them).
• Relying on skewed, left-wing sources, Shuster falsely predicted that Bush aide Karl Rove would be indicted in the Valerie Plame investigation.

I heard his "apology," and if you listen carefully he was only apologizing for getting the name wrong, not for trying to trip Blackburn up with his question. Had he gotten the name right, this so-called apology wouldn't have seen the light of day.

In Shusters world, the only useful soldier is a dead soldier. I do however wish our politicians would realize this kind of questioning is comming and be prepared for it. The best response would be to turn it around on the reporter and ask if he knows the name of the last soldier to recieve a medal for valor or heroism.
