Animals May Be Eligible for Welfare

Moonbats in Austria are still at it, trying to get a chimpanzee legally defined as a person.

The chimp in question was brought into Austria for use in pharmaceutical research, but confiscated by authorities. It wound up at an animal shelter that has gone bankrupt, possibly because it costs €4,800 ($6,800) per month to house the animal.

Animal rights nuts are now headed to Austria's Supreme Court. They want the monkey declared a person so that a guardian can be appointed for it, ensuring that it won't "wind up homeless." I suspect this has something to do with the guardian collecting benefits on an animal's behalf.

Now a short lesson in moonbat taxonomy.

If this makes sense to you, please consult clergy or mental health professionals.

I'm sure another pharmaceutical research facility could still use him.

But why can't someone adopt "Mr. Chimps" as a pet? Oh right, because that would make SCENCE! Silly me.

Wasn't it the emperor Caligula who had his HORSE declaired a human so that it could be a SENATOR?

But if Darwin is right, isn't a monkey a person?
Or is he a pre-person? Or maybe a primate person!
Certainly we have lots of apes in Washington disguised as donkeys!

Wait, so can chimps legally have abortions? Or is that a hateful form of speciesism, since animals - including animal fetuses - have person's rights and therefore cannot be killed?

Just had to repost it, hope you approve.
