A Moonbat Star Is Born

Screwball MIT student Star Simpson, who thought it would be amusing to show up at Boston's Logan Airport — departure point for half of the 9/11 hijackers — with a flashing circuit board, dangling wires, and a handful of make-believe C4, has provided moonbats with a new heroine.

Check out some of the comments that were spat at the Boston Herald's Michele McPhee for taking the brainless little brat to task:

Your just jealous because she has brains and you dont!
What is with editorialist reporter? Does she want to lick every cops buttons clean while she's foaming at the mouth with her populist pap.
Now please explain to me exactly what journalism school Herald reporters are supposed to go to: The Helen Keller School of Journalism perhaps?
They could have simply talked to her about the silly device instead of acting like a Gestapo Force.
Only a paranoid idiot could have thought that the device looked like a bomb. The girl's mistake was not realizing that Logan security is provided by paranoid gestapo.
Okay I get it. This column is performance art. You're trying to reflect the proudly belligerent ignorance of popular American thought.
It is reasonable for the media and everyone else to assume it was meant to look like a bomb simply because a dope and some dopey police thought it was a bomb?
I'm getting kind of tired of the country's most cowardly people wetting their pants and reducing our civil liberties because they're afraid of terrorists.
[Simpson's] only mistake was that she has not yet learned that most people in this country are less intelligent, more paranoid, not able to recognize wiring with the complexity of a flashlight, and especially in an airport will idiotically equate exposed wires with explosives.
Next time you see Michele McPhee's name on a story, know that she is going to pick on the little guy and suck up to the corrupt politicians and cover up for police mistakes just for her own personal advancement.

And on and on and on.

Ben Franklin said that those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither liberty nor security. The same could be said for those who would sacrifice security for moonbattery.

Simpson's hairdo alone could give people a scare.

On a tip from Byron.

Van Helsing you are an absolute moron. You are one of those elitist jerk holes who support butt heads who think nothing of risking others so they can make themselves looks so sophisticated and look down on regular people as "how mundane". Are you from New England. Mabie you haven’t heard but two plains used in 911 took off from Logan airport and maybe you’ve haven’t heard of an other little city in New England called New York where those plains were used to kill thousands of those so called “mundane indoits”. Limp wrested, left wing, self hating jerks like you make me sick! Go fornicate yourself!

Phoenix, I've been called many things, but never left wing until now.

Posted by: Van Helsing at September 24, 2007 5:31 PM

Van, Phoenix seems to think you're a Moonbat.

Now let me get this straight, this person Star Simpson purposely made something that looks exactly like an I.E.D. (that's Improvised Explosive Device) took it to an airport, and now Moonbats say that everyone should have known it wasn't a bomb - even though it was made to look exactly like a bomb? These people have no good intentions at all, do they.

Ever notice all the whack jobs have the worst haridos? Simpson, Kim Jong Il, Ahmadinejad, Chavez...Hey, is that a helmet or brillo pad on hugo's head?

I live in Mass. A few months back two 'young artists' got community service for placing the same led gizmos under bridges. Boston stopped while police delt with an avert for a movie. Those 'artist' laugh at court and got a slap on the wrist. This young woman won't even get that. she'll walk. It's too bad. I don't know what it will take for some folk to get a clue.

Phoenix is either the worst troll ever or someone that needs some serious English classes.

VH I'm afraid you will be cast out as a traitor to the rightwing conspiracy.

Make sure to turn in your guns on the way out.

"Your just jealous..."

Your? I'm not jealous of your grammar.

Phoenix, as a member of Red Sox nation, I got to tell you New York City isn't ' an other little city in New England.'
New England is MA, ME, NH, VT,RI, and Conn.
although half of Conn. roots for the @$%& Yankees for some reason.

Posted by: ceann rua at September 24, 2007 9:58 PM

What was this idiot trying to prove? That the cops
will draw down on you if you have a funny looking
device on your body in an airport. If this thinking
is the norm at MIT then the entrance level there has surely dropped.

I really loved the two "plains" statement. You can't even claim to have hit the wrong key on that one. Heh

I noticed the same thing, ceann. :-D

Did you catch the bit about her 42-year-old boyfriend?

Posted by: Byron at September 25, 2007 7:22 AM

The comments about Michelle McPhee are right though - she's like a cop groupie not a reporter.

Howie Carr also had a nice take on this juvenile delinquent:

"Falling Star one of many brilliant fools at Hub schools"

She looks like she's wearing a WIG! If that's how she looked at the time, they must have thought she was wearing a DISGUISE, another reason to stop her!

Phoenix (If you ever come back)
Van Helsing was the one who POSTED the story. Star Simpson was the idiot who CAUSED the ruckus.
Get it right the next time, OK?

Posted by: KHarn at September 25, 2007 9:09 AM

He/she should have been arrested because of felonious hair style.

Posted by: Mark at September 26, 2007 9:19 PM

Van Helsing:

Ben Franklin also said that we must all hang together, or we'd surely hang separately.

Degenerates like Mr./Ms. Simpson (like many liberals) find this whole terrorism thing one big joke so it logically follows that airport security would be a great place to pull an asinine stunt like this.

Meanwhile, our enemies salivate knowing that there are many other Mr./ Ms. Simpsons in America. And our collective noose tightens.

Posted by: Mark at September 26, 2007 9:25 PM

Whacko lefties have no common sense. I'm telling you there is something to the hair angle. She was just asking for trouble. The cops should have tased her just for that. She looks like a man in a wig. But hey, dude, it's like, art...and stuff..yeah..

Posted by: Paul at September 26, 2007 9:29 PM

Wow. I'm actually ashamed to say I'm a Conservative turning Libertarian, after reading some of these jack-assy comments like this.

Wait a minute.... These comments probably aren't even real. Probably people posting under the guise of being Conservative.

First the Mooninite scare and now this. My esteem for Boston is really low right now. Boston police are acting like trigger happy thugs and residents and newspapers seem to be totally fine with this.

The Boston Herald ran the following poll:

How do you interpret Star Simpson’s actions at Logan International Airport?

A. She was making an artistic statement.

B. She was making a political statement.

C. She was looking for attention and she got it.

D. She must have missed the news reports on Sept. 11 2001. Otherwise, there’s no excuse.

Uhh... How about none of the above - she was wearing a light up jacket. There was no statement, she wasn't looking for attention, it wasn't a "hoax", she just had a cool jacket.

If I lived in Boston and I saw the news conferences with Boston PD holding up jackets and Aqua teen hunger force ads as though they're these menacing looking "bomb-like objects," I would be very embarrassed.

For some reason, Boston PD seem to be looking for opportunities to shoot or arrest citizens. Why did Boston fall so hard for the fear-mongering? News flash: 9/11 happened to New York, not you. Quit acting like you're important enough to worry as much as you do.

Get out there and support this girl Boston, you look like a bunch of fear-mongering witch burners.
