Taxpayers Fork Over $80,000 For Anti-Bush Shirts

A pair of moonbats who attempted to disrupt a Fourth of July speech by the President by showing up in anti-Bush T-shirts that they refused to cover have been handed $80,000 of our money as a reward for their antics, the ACLU has gleefully announced.

A judge dismissed trespassing charges against the aptly named Nicole and Jeffery Rank, who then were granted a settlement after threatening to sue. Their shirts had the word "Bush" inside a circle and slash on the front. On the back, one read "Love America, Hate Bush" and the other proclaimed that "Regime Change Starts at Home."

According to a White House spokesman, the payoff was made despite any wrongdoing by the government because allowing the case to go forward would have cost taxpayers even more. Given the political climate prevailing in the zoo formerly known as our legal system, the payoff for wearing the disrespectful shirts could have been in the $millions.
