Robert Spencer on the "Religion of Peace"
This is spot on, especially his reference to the cultural self-hatred — i.e., moonbattery — that prevents Western Civilization from defending itself from Islam:
Hat tip: The Irate Nation.

Excellent commentary (uninterrupted thankfully). We know of what this man speaks. A favorite tactic of non-Christians is to throw up their hands in mock disgust over the "violence in the bible" vs. what's in the koran. Spencer points out that blanket violence was not given to anyone in line with the Lord, rather specific targets and no further, whereas in the Koran carte blanche violence is a right. I've read the koran. And I've read & studied the bible (all of it, not just parts I admire).
The bible reads like a seamless true voice having authority, justice, mercy, exhibiting human frailty and faith and hope that leads to our ultimate salvation. In scripture, our Creator is a real person from beginning to "end". In contrast, the koran just reads like a long rant mingled among poetic verse stolen from other religions.
In the bible, women had a voice and were even expected to be prophets and sometimes even leaders...pretty remarkable in a mideastern world that was very male-dominated. In muslim society, women are lower than animals. I won't forget the young woman who recently was stoned to death by her own family. No father who loves his child would even dream of doing something like this, yet Islam compels such heinous acts.
Another pivotal point in the video was the fear of leftists toward Christianity. Well of course they fear Christ. The truth is always the greatest threat. Islam is just another manmade religion...a fantasy...and as such is no threat. Unfortunately, Bush felt compelled to say after 911 that "Islam is a religion of peace" and he also blasphemed when saying that muslims worship the same God as do Christians. He's paying for this and will continue to.

Seattle P-I Editor: "People have a hard time with the concept that we get to decide what is news and what isn't, and what is fair and what isn't. Moonbattery and arrogance in one prissy package.

a friend is interviewing spencer on 8/31 on blogtalk radio - she'd probably appreciate your input and perhaps questions you'd like for her to pose to mr. spencer. or there are directions for any of you to call in and speak to him for yourself.
