Parents of 9/11 Victim Side With Terrorists

As the atrocious Jersey Girls taught us, not only is having relatives murdered by Islamic terrorists not enough to cure liberals of their moonbattery, it can even be used as a pretext to wallow in it publicly.

Phyllis Rodriguez is a particularly appalling example of this phenomenon. Her son Greg died at age 31 at the World Trade Center on September 11. Now she's giving speeches to peace activists with her bosom buddy Aicha El-Wafi — mother of Zacarias Moussaoui, aka the 20th hijacker.

Greg's father Orlando is also in on the fun, having testified for the defense at Moussaoui's trial.

Phyllis says she and her husband were scared for their safety:

The atmosphere in the nation was so frightening, we were scared to speak out.

"But," as Westchester's left-wing Journal News gushingly reports, "the Rodriguezes did not let fear stop them."

Got that? Their son was killed when Islamic maniacs hijacked planes full of Americans and crashed them into national symbols full of more Americans — and the Rodriguezes respond by going out of their way to side with his killers, while denouncing America as "threatening." A New York area newspaper fawningly approves, and also passes along El-Wafi's baseless allegations that Moussaoui "is being tortured too," just like his pampered terrorist colleagues at Club Gitmo.

Moonbattery isn't just deranged. It's obscene.
