Murtha Pooh-Poohs Progress in Iraq
The NY Times editorial by vociferous Bush critics Michael O'Hanlon And Kenneth Pollack admitting that the situation is turning around in Iraq did not find a receptive audience in the corrupt and treasonous Pelosi toady John Murtha.
Barked Abscam Jack:
I dismiss it as rhetoric.
He also belittled the inspiring progress that our troops and Iraqis who believe in democracy have made by dismissing it as "an illusion."
When reminded of the inevitable massacres that would target those who have supported democracy and trusted America were we to "redeploy" and let the terrorists win, Murtha shrugged off the rivers of blood that would flow as Iraq's problem, then quickly scuttled for cover behind leftist demagoguery, hysterically shouting:
We're the ones causing the problem.
If Murtha really doesn't like rhetoric, he must actually believe that the terrorist groups vying for power — al-Qaeda, the Iranian-backed Shiite militias, the Sunni remnants of Saddam's genocidal Baathist regime — are just freedom fighters combating the pernicious presence of America. As soon as we leave, they'll all get together for a barbeque.
Like many in the Democrat Party, Murtha is either an idiot, or he's evil and thinks we're idiots. As in most cases, the latter seems more probable.
