MoveOn.org Gunning For Brian Baird
The heresy of erstwhile peacenik Rep. Brian Baird (D-WA) will not go unpunished. As you might recall, his willingness to admit that the surge is working and that a timetable for surrender would be counterproductive created a firestorm at a town meeting in his district. Now MoveOn.org is gunning for him by running a campaign ad against him on his home turf.
Liberals aren't just invested in American defeat. They are committed to it to the extent that any Democrat who doesn't do his part to bring it about will be forced to walk the plank. It would not be the least unfair to describe the vermin at MoveOn.org as traitors — but they are not far outside today's Democrat mainstream.
