More Guns, Fewer Criminals
We've all heard the expression "more guns, less crime." Maybe that should be amended to "more guns, fewer criminals":
In Baltimore this year, about 91% of murder victims had criminal records. In Philadelphia, it's 75%; in Newark, 85%. Over the past two years in Milwaukee, 77% of murder victims had an average of almost 12 arrests.
As a professor at New York's John Jay College of Criminal Justice, David Kennedy is able to see through media spin:
The notion that these (murders) are random bolts of lightning, which is the commonly held image, is not the reality.
Recent homicide records show about 97% of Baltimore's murder suspects have prior arrests.
Needless to say, criminals will use guns to kill each other whether law-abiding citizens are allowed to defend themselves or not. The cherished liberal idea that normal people exercising their Second Amendment rights leads to a significant number of innocents being murdered is absurd.

You have summed it nicely in very few words.
The over-whelming majority of violent crimes are committed by people who could give a big rat's ass about gun laws and the adhering to the practices of a normal society.
As long as we keep blaming ourselves(societal neglect) for the actions of some punk with a rap sheet longer than Route 66 we will never have a safe society.
Blaming the abundance of crime on firearms is like blaming the high bastard birth rate on bad fucking rubbers.

Oh, Please, excuse me for being politically insensitive.
The high bastard birth rate I referred and the cause has maybe irritated the sensibilities of certain pussies.
I guess I should consider these people to be single moms, with all the wrath that the political right has foisted upon these guardians of family values and and their inherent right to pick our pockets clean with liberal tax increases.
At least, the thugs on the street, who will stick a gun in your face and rob you are more honest than most liberals.
