Howard Administration Sticks Up For Western Values
If moonbattery does result in the complete obliteration of England, at least the torch of British civilization may remain lit in Australia, where efforts are being made to preserve the cultural values that define it.
John Howard's conservative government has introduced a new test for those immigrating to Australia, which stresses what Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews calls "the core values that have helped to create a society that is stable yet dynamic, cohesive yet diverse":
They are, for example, respect for the equal worth, dignity and freedom of the individual, freedom of speech, freedom of religion and secular government, freedom of association, support for parliamentary democracy and the rule of law, equality under the law, equality of men and women, equality of opportunity, peacefulness, tolerance, mutual respect and compassion for those in need.
Needless to say, most of these values do not sit well with Muslims. Having learned to parrot the rhetoric of their liberal allies, the Australian Muslim Civil Rights Advocacy Network squawks that values are subjective.
The test may be a token gesture, but even so it is a very encouraging sign in a political climate dominated by the cultural suicide the Left has been attempting to impose on Western Civilization with alarming success.

Our Prime Minister is only the best Prime Minister Australia has ever had by a long shot, and so pilloried by the Leftist media here. Today he's spoken out about Christ-bashing artists who've entered what passes for art in a national competition. He's really up front and does what he thinks is right. No wonder the Left hate his guts and want him out.
