Firefighters But No Fire Trucks at Pro-Troop Rally
Moonbats will be pleased to learn that there were no fire trucks to be seen at a recent "Support Our Troops" rally in Nanuet, just north of New York City.
However, firefighters from eight Rockland County fire departments did attend the rally, which was held across the street from a moonbat demonstration in favor of surrender in Iraq.
Liberals have been complaining about the presence of fire trucks at previous pro-American rallies in the area. It seems that patriotism, like Christianity, must in no way be supported using government property.

On a tip from Wiggins.

I guess I didn't realize that a firetruck was a 'patriotic symbol'.
I suppose what the silly liberals actually decried was the fact that the presence of a public vehicle shouldn't be used to support one political point of view over another?
Yet - in some cities, firetrucks (along with the firemen) are required to participate in 'homosexual fun-fests'.
This stinks of stinking liberal hypocracy. And liberals wonder why they are the laughing stock of a reasoning society.

Hmmm...in my town, the five fire departments are all volunteer ones (as is our ambulance/EMT dept.). I used to wonder if we shouldn't have a fire department paid for by taxes and run by the town, but after reading these kinds of articles, I'm happy to leave things as they are. ALL of our fire departments march proudly in the town's annual Labor Day parade.

So let me get this straight. You can't use firetrucks in a parade that supports our troops.
But you MUST use firetrucks in a Gay Pride parade?

Obviously they are afraid that they would get hosed down if they lit a flag!
Back in the seventies, we had firetrucks at my high school's PEP RALLYS! But I suppose these days it would be considered "mean" if anyone were to show pride in their school, so pep rallys are out.

Just a matter of time before the libs start sniveling about the use of Police, Fire and EMT vehicles in the Memorial Day parade....But they say they support the troops.....what a joke.
