Dingell Announces Dem Plan to Cripple US Economy
Leftist Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) has announced a plan intended to cripple the American economy in the name of the global warming hoax. Quoth Dingleberry:
If we are serious about global warming, we need to reduce consumption by making it more expensive. […] We need to do things that are difficult, costly and will require sacrifice from all of us.
By "reduce consumption" he means deliberately engineer a depression under cover of bogus envirowacko ideology. The real objective of course will be to plunge the country into poverty. Socialism made some great leaps forward during the Great Depression. But wealthy, self-sufficient Americans aren't going to let themselves be enslaved by socialists. If you want someone to submit to a wheelchair, first you have to disable their legs.
In addition to an economy-suffocating $100 per ton tax on "carbon emissions" and another 50¢ per gallon tax on gasoline, Dingleberry's scheme calls for a punitive tax on insufficiently modest homes, which he derides as "McMansions." Look out John Edwards, owner of the most expensive house in his county.
It would be impossible to overstate the catastrophic consequences of socialist Dems like Dingleberry consolidating power in Washington. If they are able to exploit the global warming hoax to the fullest, people are going to be thrown out of work by the hundreds of thousands, creating a new constituency of government dependents while ending the American dream. Remember the Soviet Union? That's our future under Democrats.

On a tip from Bill.

Just this morning I was reading a blog on Global Warming at our local Republican blog. A troll wrote that he/she/it didn't know anyone that was trying to force people to do anything about global warming, that everyone was doing things voluntarily. It thought being frightened of tyranny in regards to environmentalism was naive. The thing about the Left is, they don't see tyranny until it pushes them into a cattle car. Until then tyranny is just good common sense.

Is it possible John Dingell, who's usually an advocate for the auto industry, is calling the bluff on the rest of his Democrat caucus?

That's exactly what occurred to me - Dingell is a lib, but he does represent Michigan.
