Congress Gets 3% Confidence Rating

Despite the contentious political environment, there is one thing that pretty much all Americans can agree on: our new Democrat-controlled Congress consists of boobs.

According to a Zogby poll, only 3% of the public gives Congress high marks on how it has handled the war. Even Bush, despite his admitted screw-ups and being relentlessly hammered by the media for years, rates 8 times higher.

Not even Democrats like the Congress they've imposed on us: they give it a 94% negative rating on the war — probably because we haven't yet officially surrendered to terrorists in Iraq.

The Dem strategy of trying to have it both ways by promising abject surrender to the Party's despicable Daily Kos base, without immediately driving the bus off a cliff at the first possible opportunity, does not seem to be working out so well.

There is one silver lining for Dems. Thanks to their control of the mainstream media, they have 41% of the public holding the absurd view that surrendering in Iraq would not constitute a defeat.
