Clinton Lied, People Died

It's terrible that an American president tricked us into an unnecessary war with hyperbolic propaganda and then proceeded to bomb a faraway country into the Stone Age, leaving it in ruins. I'm referring of course to Bill Clinton's jihad against non-Muslims in the Balkans.

As Warner Todd Huston notes in a review of 33 Questions About American History You're Not Supposed to Ask, the alleged "genocide" by Serbs prior to US intervention was vastly exaggerated. Supposedly 400,000 Muslim Albanians had been murdered by Serbs. Yet fewer than 7,000 people were reported missing during the entire conflict. Mines that were reported to be stuffed to the rafters with corpses turned out to hold no corpses at all.

But people did get killed. For example, 2,000 were killed in Clinton's bombing campaign, which then created a lasting humanitarian crisis by destroying hospitals, schools, and infrastructure.

At least Clinton succeeded in defeating the Serbs on behalf of the Muslims, who having been given the upper hand, responded by killing and displacing thousands of Christians. Saudi money is now flowing into the area to finance the terrorist farms known as madrassas. Four of the Fort Dix Six were examples of the sort of exports we can know expect from Albania, which is reportedly obliterating historic Christian religious sites, just like Afghanistan under the Taliban, which blew up ancient Buddhist statues.

Perhaps worst of all, the UN was put in control of the Clinton-created blighted zone. As a result, many areas still don't have reliable water, electricity, or roads. But they do have teenage sex slaves to keep the UN thugs entertained.

America's interest in going to war on behalf of Balkan Muslims has yet to be explained.

Yup, even then back then, with a little rudimentary knowledge, I wondered just what the US and Allies were doing; supporting Muslims against Christians. Very odd, and clearly something the Serbs and other Great Orthodox Centres like Mother Russia are not going to forget for a long time. Perhaps that is why Russia appears to currently be supporting Iran and creating all the more of a sticky mess in the ME. Did Clinton upset the Russians too much back in the 1990s.

Get a Load of this, adding to my point:

WORLD SPOTLIGHT – Arming Iran’s Enemies

Twenty Billion Dollars in new U.S. Arms Shipments for Saudi Arabia and neighbouring Gulf States like Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the U.A.E. Another $13 Billion in weaponry for Egypt. And Israel, ever mindful of maintaining an edge over its Arab neighbours could get $30 Billion worth of new U.S. equipment.

The onslaught of prospective weapons deals is part of the new Bush Administration initiative to contain Iran – and underscore America’s long-term involvement in the Middle East, regardless of setbacks in Iraq. Even though U.S. and Iranian diplomats recently held a pair of historic, face-to-face, meetings, no new era of friendship with Tehran appears in the offing. Instead, both the White House and its conservative Arab Allies are locking and loading in a new effort to counter Iran’s growing power.

Defence Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice made an unusual joint visit to Saudi Arabia and Egypt this week. In Saudi Arabia, Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal welcomed the visitors and promised to “explore how we can start an embassy” in Baghdad, giving a boost to the U.S.-backed Iraqi government. Al-Faisal also opened the door to another longtime U.S. goal by agreeing to consider Saudi attendance at a new Arab-Israeli peace conference.

Iran, which got a mojor security boost when the U.S. took out two of its biggest enemies in Saddam Hussein and the Taliban, is nonetheless feeling the pressure. It hopes to acquire several billion dollars worth of Russian military aircraft and is pressing ahead with what it insists is a peaceful nuclear program, which critics say can be diverted into atomic weapons. Welcome to the newest twist of the Middle East Arms race - by Adam Zagorin - TIME Magazine, August 13th 2007

Great that the U.S. and Allies have taught many an Islamic Fundamentalist a Lesson: Remember in all the major Muslim Cities, Sunni and Shi’ite, there was cheering in the Streets after 9/11. However, it seems odd that the U.S. and Allies have bashed the hell out of on side (the Sunnis), but not the other and longer-standing Enemy (The Shi’ites). America has been on bad terms with Iran for longer than any other Muslim Country.

Russia historically and now seems to be Protecting and being an Ally of Iran. Historically, since the end of the Byzantines and the relocation of the Double Eagle Standard, Russia has always been an enemy of the Ottomans and therefore Sunnis. Likewise, the Shi’ites have always been enemies of the Sunnis, and long before the Ottomans too. Though, persuing different ideologies Russia and Iran have always been Sunni Enemies - Allies by default, not through common interest.

Russia was fine with seeing the U.S. and Allies bash Sunnis and the Sunni-bashing in Iraq has also helped alleviate the pressures and take support away from the Chechens (Also Sunnis). Russia, clearly does not want to see Iran loosing ground and is merrily supporting them. Supporting an old Ally.

So, having done a Great deal of Sunni-bashing, even if some of it has been logical and justified, now poor old Uncle Sam and friends is going to have to support Sunnis to stave off Shi’ite advances.

There is an Arms Race taking place and it is the Cold War back again.

Billions of Dollars worth of top equipment is going to the Middle East.

When this is, in time, turned against the West, how many more troops will they have to end. Instead of the 100- 200 thousand U.S. and Allies troops between Iraq and Afghanistan, perhaps sometime in the next 20 years, the U.S. and Allies will have to send troops in on a Scale more like that of Viet Nam, much bigger an operation, which peaked at 1.3 million U.S. and Ally troops at one time.

Bear this in mind, what the U.S and Allies have in Iraq and Afghanistan is only 10%- 20% of what they had in Viet Nam.

Arming the Middle East further (with weapons they can not actually make themselves), with Russia on the other side: Guess what, looks like the current debacle is only the beginning. Chances are, a few years from now there will be a much bigger War in the Middle East than in the current two Hotspots.
