Brian De Palma Throws Anti-American Propaganda Into Overdrive

Hollyweird has-been Brian De Palma has ratcheted up the propaganda in an admitted attempt to help bring about an American defeat in Iraq.

His outrage Redacted has managed to reduce European audiences to tears by graphically exploiting the alleged rape and murder of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl by criminal elements in the US military.

As even De Palma surely knows, the terrorists he would have us surrender to commit comparable crimes on a daily basis as part of a deliberate policy. But you won't see any movies about al-Qaeda torture houses, because those wouldn't advance De Palma's stated goal of causing us to lose the war.

Needless to say, if treasonous moonbats like De Palma succeed, there will be much more brutality in Iraq, not less. But brutality is to be exploited, not avoided. The objective is to bring about the defeat and humiliation of America.

Brian De Palma and his kind are no less the enemy than any of the al-Qaeda terrorists on whose behalf they propagandize.

Creepy, exploitative has-been De Palma lends critical propaganda support to al-Qaeda.

So when are they going to make a film about PFC Menchaca and PFC Tucker? Anybody remember them?
How about Daniel Pearl? How about a film version of Blood Brothers, Weiskopf's book about losing his hand in Iraq and his recovery at Walter Reed? SFC Steven R. Smith (MOH) isn't worthy of a movie? What's the matter Hollywood? Did people finally get tired of hearing about Abu Ghraib, and now you have to pick the bones of another atrocity?

The insinuation that this type of behavior is the norm in the military is despicable. In every war, there are a few bad apples in the military and a very few very bad apples. When they are caught they are punished. I'm glad this guy wasn't making films during World War II, in which case we might all be speaking German today.

Jim, that's the point...I think DePalma truly believes that each and every member of our military is capable of such barbarism. He doesn't believe in the theory of a "few" bad apples; he thinks the whole orchard needs to be burned to the ground.

Meanwhile, if there's an attack here in the U.S., you can bet he'll expect the same rotten military to protect his sorry butt.

Whats that dark spot on his right temple? Is that where they did his labotomy? Or is that the bullet hole where shot himself in the head but the bullet just stuck in his brain and made him into a total fktard?

it should be pointed out he used the internet for research for the idea for this film.

We all know how many loons on the internet have falsified being in the army and doing things to civilians which proved untrue later.

the point is this movie is based on fiction since he can't back up anything.

but like all libutards they call fiction truth.

For the hat tip:

Swedish school librarians oppose informing students about the crimes of communism because it would risk making the pupils' views more right-wing:

I can't even imagine Frank Capra pulling a stunt like this during WWII. This kind of thing shows how feminized many American males on the Left have become.

The United States Army carried out 140 executions of soldiers who committed murder and/or rape during WWII.

If he was a film maker in the 40s, would De Palma have progandized for the Nazis and Imperial Japanese as well?

Simplistic view of the world held by the left.

All They Are Saying Is Give Peace A Chance

the article i read said "alleged" - how come i haven't heard anything of this until today?

somebody tell me i'm sheltered...

Posted by: nanc at August 31, 2007 2:24 PM

Nanc,

Thanks, I'd left out the important word "alleged" (as did Reuters). If the allegations were true or even supportable, they would be on the front page every day.

Posted by: Van Helsing at August 31, 2007 3:51 PM

the article also said they five guys were tried and in prison for up to 110 years.

where is the proof?

depalma needs to go away.

I dont suppose that Al Qaeda and the Baathists make it their policy to prosecute their fighters who commit crimes now do they?

The guy looks like someone you wouldn't want to get caught in an airport men's room with.

Looks aside, he's ugly.

(Some things can't be ignored.)

I predict this movie will be a box-office smash along the lines of that Broke-back homosexual sheepherder movie. Cindy Sheehan will pay to see it twice and that will be 10% of boxoffice receipts. Most Americans still recognize crap for what it is - but it could resurface as mandatory material in college classrooms.

Funny how Hollywood never made any movies about UN Peacekeepers and their child prostitution rings.

Give him a break! He couldn't make a movie about Saddams rape rooms or his rapist sons....that would be RACIST! Hollywood union rules prevent any movie featuring non-white rapists.

Thanks for the link, aldro.

I have posted this elswhere on the Internet. I am reposting it here because I think you folks just may be ready for a little taste of reality...

In a similar way that the Catholic Church’s attacks on Martin Scorsese’s Last Temptation of Christ (a film that might have been expected only a modest return on its overblown budget investment) put attendance figures over the top, I hope the tsunami of attacks by the pro-war blogisphere on Redacted grows even more intense and widely distributed. It will assure a box office that will be beyond even the wildest wet dream of the greediest Hollywood film distributor. I care not for the success or failure of Hollywood. What I do support is the vision and the mission of the artist, as summed up in De Palma’s own words. “Pictures are what will stop the war…bringing the truth of the Iraq war to the American people.” “One only hopes that these images will get the public incensed enough to get their congressmen to vote against the war.”

Like it or not, the pro-war blogs are doing more to help him than the most expensive media campaign. Note to the “Up America Right or Wrong” crowd: If you immediately drop all the crap you are slinging at Redacted, De Palma and its producer - I guarantee you that it will cut the box office attendance in half. But Noooo, like a doggie on a bone, the pro-war guys will not be able to leave this one alone even if they realize that the only product of their defamation will be more big bucks for the left-wing, anti-victory, money-grubbing Hollywood distributors and producers they hate so much. There has to be some kind of self-defeating pathology operating here.

Peace,
Bob Boldt
