24 Succumbs to Global Warming Moonbattery

Despite the show's popularity with conservatives, there has always been a vein of moonbattery not far below the surface of Fox's 24, most notably in its willingness to cave in to CAIR, effectively giving this Hamas front group veto power over plot developments and even agreeing to disseminate its propaganda. Next season, the moonbattery will bubble up to the surface, as Jack Bauer confronts the fictional menace of global warming.

The folks producing 24 will help rescue our put-upon planet by using a "planet-friendly" biodiesel blend in their diesel vehicles and generators, converting a diesel-powered sound stage to electricity, having scouts drive Priuses, and delivering scripts and schedules via email instead of by car. The effect of all this foolishness on the Earth's temperature can be predicted quite reliably at precisely zero.

In addition, the 24 page at Fox.com now includes preachy energy conservation tips and a speech about global warming by series star Kiefer Sutherland. More propaganda will follow when the season starts.

Worse yet, climate change will be incorporated into the show's plot. Maybe they'll make it extra poignant by having a patriotic Muslim-American, wrongfully accused of terrorism, save a family of drowning polar bears by buying a new Prius and some of Al Gore's carbon credits, after Jack Bauer prevents him from being assassinated by a sinister cabal of neocon global warming deniers.

One man stands tall (well, at under 5'6", maybe not so tall) against the global warming menace.

"24" started on a real downward slope during last season, and this one coming up looks to be a continuation of that slide. Probably watch the first few episodes, anyway, but may give it up if they can't discard the AGW crap and they continue to kow-tow to CAIR and that ilk. Too bad! Reckon this upcoming season will be the last one, anyway, but wish they could have gone out with a "bang," rather than a castrated "whimper," as it appears they will -- time will tell!

Since we're talking about TV, have you seen the moonbattery on Entourage?!?! After two seasons of the typical guy's fantasy of chilling in the Hollywood Hills with the finest hotties, the third season began by bringing in the star's mom as his date for an opening (as opposed to Mandy Moore or Jessica Alba), then the quality of the women plummeted and then the last straw -- a homosexual scene between the Dillon character and his masseuse. It was like a homo soap opera. Really, it was quite shocking. The show is horrible now.

Conserving and not wasting energy is a good thing, but inserting Global Warming hysteria into the plot of "24" is ridiculous. Theres been plenty of the is nonsense by repeated airing on cable of "The Day After Tomorrow", regular Weather Channel series and countless specials along those lines. Last night Discovery had the old Super Storm, global warming caused hurricane, striking, of course, New York City. Though it did mention a hurricance hit in 1938 - must have been the Nazi war machine spewing CO2? LOL!

Global Warming has become the new shark. Better rev that motorcycle really tight before the jump, Jack.

Corona,

Yep, "24" which was not great last season, will Jump The Shark if they actually focus on Global Warming.

The only thing that could be a bigger waste of time than trying to go "low-carbon" would have to be watching stupid television shows. If you want to do something positive for humanity, kill your T.V.

I too will watch the first few episodes; but, Im ready to channel switch if it does become too deep in moonbattiness. The last moments of the season was an excellent way to end the series. Jack is becoming a present day Job.
