24 Succumbs to Global Warming Moonbattery

Despite the show's popularity with conservatives, there has always been a vein of moonbattery not far below the surface of Fox's 24, most notably in its willingness to cave in to CAIR, effectively giving this Hamas front group veto power over plot developments and even agreeing to disseminate its propaganda. Next season, the moonbattery will bubble up to the surface, as Jack Bauer confronts the fictional menace of global warming.

The folks producing 24 will help rescue our put-upon planet by using a "planet-friendly" biodiesel blend in their diesel vehicles and generators, converting a diesel-powered sound stage to electricity, having scouts drive Priuses, and delivering scripts and schedules via email instead of by car. The effect of all this foolishness on the Earth's temperature can be predicted quite reliably at precisely zero.

In addition, the 24 page at Fox.com now includes preachy energy conservation tips and a speech about global warming by series star Kiefer Sutherland. More propaganda will follow when the season starts.

Worse yet, climate change will be incorporated into the show's plot. Maybe they'll make it extra poignant by having a patriotic Muslim-American, wrongfully accused of terrorism, save a family of drowning polar bears by buying a new Prius and some of Al Gore's carbon credits, after Jack Bauer prevents him from being assassinated by a sinister cabal of neocon global warming deniers.
