West Point Graduate Is Conscientious Objector

Even a moonbat can find God, if sufficiently motivated. Infantry Captain Peter D. Brown, stationed at Camp Stryker in Iraq, graduated from West Point in 2004. Now he declares that he has discovered Jesus, and consequently cannot be expected to fight to defend the civilized world — which prominently includes Christendom — from Islamic terrorists. He's demanding an honorable discharge.

Pules Brown:

Jesus taught that I should bless those who curse me and not fight back against evil with force.

I guess that means no Christian has ever served in the military. But hey, the conscientious objector ploy worked for Harrison Ford, who is no USMA grad but also no Christian.

The New York Civil Liberties Union, always happy to have fewer people fighting evil, has taken up Brown's cause.

No doubt this will tie up courts for years with expensive litigation. Back when we fought wars with the intention of winning them, the issue might have been resolved immediately with the help of his commanding officer's sidearm.

Peter Brown doesn't believe in Christian soldiers.

On a tip from Bill.

That's baloney soldier. Christ NEVER said to "not fight back".
He said to pray for our enemies and love them who use you
spitefully. Sometimes love requires a 2 x 4 or a one-way
trip to Father for some additional clarification. Turning
the other cheek refers to spiritually turning it...not physically
allowing someone to pummel you and destroy what God gave you.

The guy might be a man in worldly terms, but when it comes to spiritual life and his obvious misreading of scripture, he's just a boy. Time to grow up son.

So I suppose that all the men and women from the Bible, i.e. David, Joshua, Moses, etc., who fought against the enemies of the nation of Israel and God were wrong for not "turning the other cheek". As a Christian I find this man's comments both absurd and insulting to those soldiers who are Christians and are serving to defend our country. This man needs to search his heart and the scriptures to see what that really means.

John 15 So Jesus made a whip out of ropes. He chased all the sheep and cattle from the temple area. He scattered the coins of the people exchanging money. And he turned over their tables. 16 He told those who were selling doves, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!"

Sounds to me like Jesus was ready to fight.

Another thing is that this guy would be fighting to come in defense of himself and others.

He doesnt have to kill anyone if he doesnt want to even if he is sent to Iraq or Afghanistan and has a gun. All he has to do is not pull the trigger and turn the other cheek before some Ayrab cuts off his head.

Every year the US Naval Academy gets their quota for midshipman to enter the Marine Corps, many of whom will be sent to Iraq. Don't hear of any of these guys changing their minds.

Go Navy! Beat Army!

What a worthless coward of a puke!

I'll bet he hasn't offered to return his generous, tax-payer funded enlistment bonus either.
