Last Supermarkets Bailing Out of Detroit
Detroit becomes ever more unlivable. The last two Farmer Jack stores are closing, leaving the city without a single national supermarket, A&P and Kroger already having pulled up stakes. There are no Wal-Marts, no Meijers, and no Costcos either.
Economically, Detroit could support 41 supermarkets — except that the Motor City, having been run by moonbats for decades, has degenerated into such a hellhole that it is not possible for major chains to make a profit there. The high cost of doing business features rampant theft, excessive taxes, race-based lawsuits, and a welfare culture that doesn't produce useful employees.
Every American is encouraged to visit Detroit. The town could sure use the tourist trade — and the rest of us could use a jarring glimpse of our country's future if we succumb to moonbattery.

How awesome would a Detroit Trader Joe's be? They could stock whole grain Malt Liquor. I wish I could have seen the faces of those liberal f**ks when they saw the area their store would open in. I bet all the tolerance and diversity b.s went right out the window.

Moonbat totalitarians don't mind decay. They want equality in poverty. They are filled with such envy that they will hold everyone back even if they harm themselves in the process. They despise good people and ambition. In the movie Dr. Zhivago, I believe one character said, "May God rot good men." I've been looking at the city with Google earth, and I am surprised at how much empty space there is. Not asphalt parking lots, but what appears to be bare ground.
I think that the liberals keep Detroit barren for the same reason that the East Germans kept the Marienkirche and large parts of Dresden in ruins after WWII.

I wish I could remember where I saw the photos comparing neighborhoods from the 40s and 50s to the neighborhoods today. Detroit was once a thriving city, until union socialism and thuggery pummelled the Big 3 into submission and failure. The citizenry is getting what they deserve, for tolerating the BS and tactics of lazy sphincters who do more rent seeking than labor.
