Homeland Security Chief Campaigns For Muslims
Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff, who recently used cartoonish hyperbole to denounce the notion of the USA defending its borders, spoke before the NAACP in Detroit the other night. Sounding remarkably like CAIR mouthpiece Ibrahim Hooper, he used the occasion to encourage this hard-left organization to fight for the "rights" of Muslims.
Yes of course, every balkanized special interest group in America deserves to have its rights. But doesn't Chertoff have more pressing business than campaigning on behalf of Muslims — like preventing those same Muslims from killing us? That's what he's getting paid for.
Sometimes it's hard to imagine that Democrats will be even worse than some of the clowns we have in the government now. Yet given the chance, they're sure to manage somehow.

may he have some explaining to do, and soon.

Like Bush, El Chertoff is an absolute tool. Hes more worried about lobbying for crap than doing his job. His absurdness really shined thru after the Kennedy-Bush immigration bill was deservingly stamped out when he basically said, "OK America, since you helped kill this bill, I still can't do anything to be effective in my position and you're going to have to live with the consequences of my ineptitude". I'm starting to think that a prerequisite of the administration's hiring policy is that candidates be dumber than Bush as not to make him look too bad. That’s probably why Tom Ridge had to go.

I love it - the religious fundamentalist nanc tips Van Helsing off to an article about Muslims.
Why don't we let all the religious fundamentalists and fanatics - Christian or Muslim go at it and the sane people of the world can sit back with our popcorn.
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 10:01 AM
Just to clarify G., It's about the irony of the very person who is supposed to be protecting America, collaborating with a group known to have terrorist connections. You're fundamentalist shot at nanc has nothing to do with it.

g. - i don't need a plug from chertoff or the president. i don't even need equal time. and i'm as far from religious as you can get, with the exception of smoking and a couple of beers every evening.
you, however, do not see the entire picture - is chertoff for u.s. or for muslim fanatics. christians aren't going about flying planes into buildings, nor are we lopping folks' heads off with dull serrated knives.
what is your point?
or do you just plan to roam around moonbattery all willy-nilly for the rest of the day as you have been for the past week?
do you ever contribute anything other than a thought that you may need a rabies shot?

I sometimes wonder if this is a nightmare! I sometimes wonder how the hell this could be real! How did America get so f***ing stupid? It has to be all the drugs we did in the sixties and seventies along with the communist teachings in our schools and press.
The world is going to hell and fools like G. just don't realise that THEY will suffer, too.

i know there is no living izzie i will ever praise.

There are around a billion muslims - only a very small fraction are disposed to commit terrorist acts.
What are we supposed to do with one billion Muslims? Label them all terrorists? What kind of a solution is that?
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 11:58 AM
i suggest we send them back to their sandcastles in the m.e. yes, that would suffice.
Posted by: nanc at July 12, 2007 12:17 PM
g. and while we're at it, back to the hole you crawled out from! take your lunartick brothers and sisters with you.
Posted by: nanc at July 12, 2007 12:19 PM
nanc,
Actually I was hoping you and any and all other religious nuts would leave the U.S.
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 12:23 PM
What do you do with them once they are all in the Middle East - which is where 95% of them are now anyway?
The solution is to rid the world of religious radicalism.
How do you propose we do that?
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 12:27 PM
my relatives were here first. you go. now.

>>>There are around a billion muslims - only a very small fraction are disposed to commit terrorist acts.
OK, let's look at this.
Let's say that 1/2 of 1% are "bad" Muslims. That works out to FIVE MILLION who believe that violence is an act of worship. But just the fact that they DO blow up "infidels" AND their own people is cause for concern, is it not? After all, only a tiny percitage of American citizens are likely to commit murder with a handgun, but there are millions of people around the world who think that that is a bigger problem than global warming.

Please - someone give a hard working, honest, intelligent illegal alien nac's citizenship - please.
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 3:42 PM
KHarn,
I agree - and I do not understand why more moderate Muslims do not speak out against the radical ones - and reclaim their religion
It might be b/c they are afraid to.
I don't know enough about it to answer it.
There is nothing more evil then blowing yourself up and killing others in the name of religion.
These people think they are going to have everylasting life by becoming mass murderers. It is a nightmare.
We need to find a lasting solution.
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 3:49 PM
Perhaps that's because there are no "moderate" Muslims. I'm no expert on religion, God knows, but I don't see different sects of Muslims interpreting the Q'uran differently, as I do Jews who profess different interpretations of the Talmud. There are Orthodox, Reform, and others around my area.
The problem is the Q'uran is a false document to begin with, based on a false prophet. The book itself makes it clear that anyone who is not a Muslim is an infidel, and is therefore to be killed. It can't be denied if it's there in black and white, and it doesn't matter what an individual Muslim thinks - if he doesn't follow the Q'uran to the letter he also is regarded as an infidel.

Bruce,
I do not know if that is true or not. If it is that's a big problem.
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 5:05 PM
Most Muslim nations execute homosexuals, yet the left loves them. Ironic?
Posted by: Chris at July 12, 2007 5:45 PM
true, chris - my mother always said to stay away from hot ironies...
Posted by: nanc at July 12, 2007 6:11 PM
I do not love them anymore than you do nor do any of the Democrats that I know. Certainly a pro-woman's rights person like Hillary Clinton does not like them.
You are doing the same thing that the left does -you are clumping everyone on the other side together and attributing to them extreme opinions.
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 6:39 PM
Hillarity isn't a "pro-woman's rights person," she is a pro-Hillarity person. It's humorous that you don't recognize that.
Posted by: skh.pcola at July 12, 2007 7:39 PM
No - she is definitely a feminist.
Posted by: G. at July 12, 2007 8:30 PM
what's the difference, asshat?
Posted by: nanc at July 12, 2007 9:02 PM
g. - you don't even know there's 40 some odd posts below this one that need your undivided attention! what a buffoon!
how much does buffoonery pay these days?
Posted by: nanc at July 12, 2007 9:08 PM
If she was a "feminist," she would have emasculated Billy over his adultery. She has her eye on power, and nothing else. She shares nothing with contemporary feminism except empty-brained liberalism.
Posted by: skh.pcola at July 12, 2007 10:38 PM
G, I assure you it is true, and it IS a problem that too many liberals choose to ignore. I include nobody in particular in that, btw, just that I found the statement made on another website (not blog) a while back and followed some links to an online version of the Q'uran. It says exactly that - kill any infidel.
The so-called "religion of peace" is anything but; has been so since the Crusades; and is never going to be any different. Those that choose to ignore it on PC principals do so at their own peril.
