Healthcare Under Dems: A Sinking Schip
The replacement of our healthcare system with the dysfunction abomination known as socialized medicine won't happen all at once — if it did, the public would rebel. As with other aspects of the creeping socialism that is gradually strangling our future, it will be imposed, in Hillary Clinton's words, in "a series of steps."
Some of those steps will involve furtively extending the 1997 mistake called the State Children's Health Insurance Program, aka Schip. The Wall Street Journal calls it "HillaryCare on the installment plan."
As usual, the pretext was to help the children — specifically children not poor enough to qualify for Medicaid. Now Dems want to raise the Schip budget to a staggering $60 billion. States vary in their requirements, but nobody has to be particularly poor to qualify. In New York, a family of four making $82,600 is poor enough to have someone else pay for their healthcare under Schip. Nor do you have to be a child to cash in. In 2005, Minnesota spent 92% of its Schip loot on adults.
Like the cancers that they are, government programs like Schip will quietly grow until nothing short of radical surgery can remove them. By then it may be too late to save the patient.

ONE: The "taxpayers who pay for it" don't want it - that's the whole point there, Sport. Are you sure you know what your talking about?
TWO: The current “socialized” healthcare for almost every entity on your silly little list is performed by private companies who won contracts to administer said healthcare using private physicians.
THREE: “Hillary Care” (a term you liberals are trying to forget?) would do away with the word ‘private’ (socialism abhors the word ‘private’) and model our (US) healthcare systems after Canada and the UK – which are both absolute crap and proven failures.
FOUR: Now – JR – please give us the name of a single person in the United States of America – whether rich, poor, legal, illegal, black, white, incarcerated, free, dumb, or smart – who has ever died (hell – become sicker!) because they were refused medical care because he/she/it didn’t have “insurance”? If you listen to the moonbats, the list HAS to be miles long with millions of names. Show us the list, please. (And please don’t give us names of people with undiagnosed or undiagnosable symptoms – that would be childish.)

Socialized medicine for people in the armed forces? Yes, See above reply.
Socialized medicine for gov't workers? Yes, if they pay into it. nowawadays any business to keep employees has that benefit.
Socialized medicine for those over 65? Yes, if they've paid into the system.
Socialized medicine for the poor? Get a better job by going to school or learning a trade that gets a job with that benefit.
Socialized medicine for the taxpayers who pay for it? For Moonbattery, Yes, as long as it goes to Illegal Ailiens who don't pay into it so Libruls can use it to buy votes.
The best benefit of the free market is you get to choose your medical provider and competition. You want lower medical and health insurance costs? Tell John Edwards and the rest of his lawyer army to quit the frivilous law suits against the medical industry.
Also let small businesses get group care rates like big businesses do.
