Harry Reid Rushes to Ayatollahs' Defense
Ever eager to trip up his own country in its dealings with our enemies, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was quick to denounce his colleague Joe Lieberman's warning that if Iran does not stop waging war against the USA, we might have to respond with air strikes.
Reid condescendingly intoned:
The invasion of (Iran) is only going to destabilize that part of the world more. I know Joe means well, but I don't agree with him.
Of course Lieberman was not calling for a full-scale invasion, but only engaging Iran in a little diplomacy by pointing out that there could be limits to how many Americans we will let the Iranians kill by training, arming, and possibly fighting alongside terrorists in Iraq before there finally come consequences.
Consequences will arrive for Reid the next time he has to stand for election. His approval rating is at 19% — exactly half as high as the relentlessly maligned Dick Cheney's.

On a tip from Wiggins.
Update:
And on a tip from V the K, don't miss the skewering Dennis Miller gave Dingy Harry on the Half Hour News Hour.

That sucks. Only a full-scale invasion of Iran and removal of its regime will achieve any real measure of peace.

But Reid supports the troops.

This guy strikes me as one who has been a brown-noser his whole life; no doubt the necessity to toady to Mafia-types in Vegas have reinforced his typical "Liberal" belief that the only way to deal with intimidating factions is bowing, scraping and concessions.

"The invasion of (Iran) is only going to destabilize that part of the world more."
Seems to me Iran is the one destabilizing that part of the world.

Apparently, Mr. Reid thinks that a stable, anti-American tyranny is a desirable thing.

Strike down the mullahs and their lap-dogs in Iran, and the 90+% of the populace that hates and despises them (they, after all, actually have to live, if you can call it that, under their rule) would celebrate their liberation in a manner that would make V-E and V-J Days look like local BBQ's by comparison.
It's going to happen eventually anyway, folks, since Acckk!-jad has promised to destroy us, and soon will have just the weapon to do that. Better now than later.

I would love to see a Dennis Miller/Harry Reid cage match...except that Reid would crap his pants at Miller's first oratorical bomb and hide.
BTW, make sure you don't miss the Michelle Malkin/Geraldo brawl on Thursday's O'Reilly Factor

You dont need a full scale invasion - just use special forces assassin squads and air strikes to cripple their military. Most of the younger people in Iran will then bring Iran from the 7th Century into the 21st Century since they dont like the mullahs one bit.
