Denver Cooling Off Already
More good news for global warming hysterics: Denver's draconian plans to combat global warming haven't even been implemented, but they're working already.
On Friday a new record low was set when the temperature at Denver International Airport fell to 31°F, easily surpassing the 37° mark set way back in 1974. June 8 now marks the latest freeze on record for the city; the record had been June 2, set in 1951.
A propitiated Gaia must be responding to the noble gestures of Denver's authoritarian bureauweenies.
If there's frost in June now, think what temperatures will be like when the city causes them to plummet by penalizing people for driving and throwing their garbage away. A year-round ski season will do wonders for the tourist trade.

On a tip from Wiggins.

Its universally true, from small town to large metros the people in government are willing to give the shirt off YOUR back to accoomplish ANY feel good cause that allows them to appear concerned. The ULTIMATE HOAX,AWG is the perfect vehicle for that mentality. Fighting climate change = increased taxes which empowers the rulers. If this continues unchecked, the carbon cards will be issued and we will all PAY for the privilege to purchase ANY fuel.

Lewis & Floorwax at The Fox have been thanking Al Gore for singlehandedly combating global warming, state by state, region by region, starting with Colorado. That friday's late freeze is evidence enough that Big Al is on the job, and we can now call off the global warming scare.
What really worries me though, is that the global warming acolytes are measuring success by reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, not by actual effect on global climate. Anybody can cut some greenhouse emissions, and it will have zero effect on the climate, yet they're a hero because they cut some greenhouse emissions.
Hey, I deliver the Rocky Mountain News, and about half a dozen other newspapers. If they're going to run a story reporting that I'm going to have to pay extra car insurance based on mileage, then I'm not going to be able to deliver their newspapers. I drive 43 miles a day to deliver their crappy rag. They should think about that. The whole freakin' newspaper industry is going down the tubes, fast. The signs are everywhere. Newspapers are going the way of AM radio. Believe me, I'm doing whatever I can to get out of the business.
