British Bureaucrats May Delete the Word "Prostitute"

One of the more disturbing aspects of 1984 is the way the government would attempt to control our thoughts by deleting words from the language. More disturbing still is the way real-life bureaucrats have followed suit.

The word "prostitute" may be removed from British legal statutes because it carries "stigma." A spokeswoman for the Justice Ministry says of the word:

It's been around since 1824, so it was a bit outdated. It just wasn't really helpful to label people.

Instead of using the incorrect word, bureauweenies refer to "persons who sell sex persistently."

I'm sure other criminals don't like being labeled either. Is "child molester" still on the books? They might want to check its expiration date. How about "burglar"?

Of course, the reason the word "prostitution" is being erased is that you can't resist what you can't name, and prostitution typifies the moral climate liberals have been imposing on us with increasing success for generations. Next, they might want to go after the words "degeneracy" and "moonbattery."

I thought there was something grotesque about this "woman" in the photo, and I was right...it is a mutilated-by-unscrupulous-"doctors" man, and he is himself (supposedly) a doctor fighting for the rights of homosexuals (I refuse to use the queers' p.c. terms like "transgender") in the prostitution "business" in Europe.

p.s. - she's a no-good whore, okay? got that?

As much as I think prostitution should be legal (our police have better things to do that waste time with this 'problem'), this has to be the dumbest stunt I've seen in a while. Prostitute has a negative connotation? Whore has a negative connotation. Hooker does as well, but Prostitute is fairly vanilla. Leave it to the British Nanny State Bureaucrats to be offended for the poor maligned sex industry.

Wow, Paris really let herself go when she was in the jug. Now the outside matches the inside.

Wasn't it "Cosmopolitan" that had a flattering artical about "sex workers"?

"Sex workers" is one of the latest idiotic P.C. inventions of terms for the sake of "non-judgemental inclusiveness" (of course, the touchy-feelies don't think along this line when discussing Conservatives, Republicans, Christians, etc.). National Geographic did an article recently which covered various parts of Ukraine- some of which catered to, as they put it, "sex tourists". I wonder what that makes pimps..."sex management"?
