Boston Mosque Flies Old Glory Upside Down

This is the new Roxbury Mosque in Boston, Massachusetts:

isb_mosque_flag.jpg

As anyone who has seen pictures of anti-America marches either here, in Europe, or in the Middle East knows, flying the American flag upside down is a gesture of contempt. But then, when they push us, we move, so why should we expect Muslims to respect us?

By the way, Muslims bought the land for this mosque from Boston at a price significantly below market value. But don't hold your breath waiting for the ACLU to scream about the separation of church and state.

Construction of the mosque was funded by the Islamic Development Bank, whose largest shareholders are Iran, Libya, and our friends the Saudis of 9/11 fame. This same bank pays large financial subsidies to the families of suicide terrorists.

The mosque was built by the Islamic Society of Boston, members of which have publicly supported Islamic terrorism and engaged in virulently anti-American and anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Oh, I'm so pissed right now I can't get a coherent comment together!

I'd like to see the gov't sell land to a church for next to nothing and then not say anything to 'em when they fly a Muslim country's flag upside-down. Of course, we all know THAT would be hate speech.

Someday we're going to turn on our TVs and every mosque in America will be on fire.

I'll blame global warming. How 'bout you?

That is a disgraceful act for the "religion of peace". Sheesh!

Traditionaly, flying the US flag upside down is recognised as a DISTRESS SIGNAL. Therefore, Boston should send a dozen COPS into that mosque to "save" the worshipers!

I'd really like to see a link for the source of that photo. Thanks.

No doubt the inhabitants of this Muslim enclave (notice how there's no attempt, not even a cursory wave, at real assimilation anymore?) will claim that flying Old Glory upside-down was "inadvertent," just a mistake.

"Intentionally insulting" is far more likely.

This is why we need stronger flag treatment laws.

It may be that they were intending to show contempt but flying the American flag upside down is by tradition a distress signal and is even used by U.S. Naval vessels.

Harry...get real, please. One MUST read things in context...to these schmucks, it is no distress signal...it is a direct and open insult.

Maybe the folks at the Islamic Society of Boston do want to signal distress — our distress, as in "Come on fellow jihadists, we've got them on the ropes."

Ok, I was there. The flag was NOT upside down. What your are seeing is the effect of a phenomenon known as "wind", and possible a dishonest photographer waiting for the right moment to press the shutter button.

What you are seeing is the result of a phenomenon known as wind. See the video above. The flag was hung vertically, as that was the only possible way to hang it on something not designed as a flagpole!

I can't believe you guys fell for that picture!!
