BBC: What Terrorism Problem?

Given today's foiling of a terrorist attack on Piccidilly Circus, will any Britons wake up and realize that their massive and quickly growing Muslim population is a profoundly serious threat? Not if the BBC can help it. A few man-on-the-street quotes gets across the Beeb's message: "Problem? There's no problem. And besides, Tony Blair caused it by siding with America."

By some remarkable coincidence, the first person featured is from the Middle East:

I escaped the car bombs in Lebanon to come to London but I still think this is a safe city. We don't yet know who is behind this but the UK has become a target because of its efforts to promote democracy abroad.

More carefully selected Londoners express their insouciance:

I feel safe actually. If it happens, it happens.
The chances of becoming a direct victim of such an attack are low.
I'm actually more concerned about gun violence at the moment than I am about terrorism.
I feel as safe here as anywhere.

But of course it isn't that the BBC wants to downplay the seriousness of Muslim terrorism. They just couldn't seem to find anyone in London who thinks their city getting bombed is a big deal.

"I feel safe actually." A typical Londoner, per the Beeb.

VH - 6:31 pm on Fox News, Friday night. Some major scientist in the climate change movement was just mentioned on Fox as saying the computer modeling of climate change isn't accurate or predictive, but, rather, a "what if" scenario and that you can't predict these things. Wish I had gotten more details - was half-listening.

Hopeless, utterly hopeless.

"I'm actually more concerned about gun violence at the moment than I am about terrorism."
Wait, aren't there pretty strict gun conrol laws in the UK? I'm looking at a website right now that claims Britain has the strictest gun control laws in the world. This is an off-topic observation I guess, but still kinda interesting.

The Failed London Terrorist Attack Could Happen Here!

Learn what could happen when the United States is hit by another terrorist attack by Islamic extremists that creates an extreme response by Washington in The Final Presidential Executive Order at http://www.swissconfederationinstitute.org/swisspreserve14.htm

This is from a new free online book, “The Swiss Preserve Solution” & how the over reaction dramatically curtails personal, financial, religious and civil liberties in the United States.

Funny, I was in London when the IRA was blowing up everything left and right and people there held up better than you bedwetters on the other side of the world!

That would be more convincing if one of your brave British soldiers hadn't cried like a little girl when the mean Iranians took his iPod away. Meanwhile, the rest of the British population complies like meek little sheep while the government confiscates their guns and any other vestiges of manliness.

These Britons must believe that Islanmic terrorism did not exist before George bush became President and Tony Blair became the British Prime Minister.
They think at this point half the cause of their misfortune has gone away, Tony Blair. Now if the US can only elect a Socialist President, such as HRC, all this current terrorism would go away.

When you look at the UK, think of illegal immigration in th US, the problem is out of hand. No government administration in the last forty years has had the guts to deal with it. But they deal with those radical, extreme, Christian warriors through the ACLU. Then the ACLU goes to the mat to defend and protect barbaric, Islamnist cultist.

I feel safe. No reason to do anything about other people getting blown up. F*ck em'.

So, this morning, a couple "Asian Men" run a flaming SUV into Glasgow airport. I blame Global Warming.

Go back to sleep, limey poofs.

Hey, have you ever wondered what a CNN story would look like with all the bias taken out?

Go back to sleep, limey poofs.

Right. Do you count all of us in that sentence? If you do, I'm leaving. If you don't, then I'm still leaving, because insulting people isn't always the right way to bring them around to your point of view.

Looks like someone here hasn't seen A Fish Called Wanda.

... well... I'm still le- hey look, the goodyear blimp! *runs away*

Ok, what can I say? I had a massive sense of humour failure, and I think I should apologise before I dig any deeper.

And for the record I haven't seen it. I want to.

I have to say right up front - I've never met a Brit I didn't like. Of course we never discussed politics or religion...

:-)

These folks are suffering from 'nanny syndrom'. They're certain the state (the collective) will protect them. Here in the U.S., liberals would like us to believe that. They actually want us to believe the 'authorities' are here to protect them, when the stark fact is, in most cases except for shear luck the police are only around to arrest the guy who kills their sorry ass.

Don't go away Archonix, I like you!! I've been reading your comments for awhile now:)

I second Amy, Archonix...you rock. Don't skip out on us.

I suppose they are trying to put up a brave front as Brittons are known to do, but compare their quotes to those of their grandparents in World War Two whose attitude was "We can take it, and soon we'll be kicking thier asses!".

KHarn: Hit the nail on the head with that one -- no doubt the current crop of Brits (virtually all dhimmis) actions, and inactions, are making their grand-parents and great g-p's spin in their graves. Of course, with the British Islamic Broadcasting Corporation pushing the "politically correct" Islamification of Great Britain with every news story, 24 hours a day, every day, it's no wonder the Brits have forsaken individuality for "let the government save me; it's too much work; it's too hard" -- lot 'a that going on the USA these days, as well, and sure to increase once the Hildabeast takes charge in Jan., '09.
