Woman Sues Mets Owner Because Fat Guy Fell on Her

Posted by Dave Blount at May 14, 2007 6:57 PM

If the day comes that we're expected to sit as quietly at ballgames as if we were in church, and can't even drink beer, we'll have lawsuits to thank.

Last month one Ellen Massey attended a Mets game at Shea Stadium and had the misfortune to find herself beneath a fat guy who got drunk and fell down. The incident put her in the hospital for a couple of weeks. Naturally, she's suing the owner of the Mets, not because Fred Wilpon is the one who fell on her, but because he must have plenty of money if he can afford to pay the moonbat Carlos Delgado $14,500,000 a year to bat .209.

It counts for nothing that Wilpon's Mets overcame a 5-3 deficit that day to beat the Phillies 11-5 on behalf of their fans, Ms. Massey included.

For good measure, she's suing the beer vendor and the union representing Shea's security guards. Just to be fair, she's also suing the one guy who did her wrong — the fat guy who fell on her. But she won't get much from him, because he hasn't been identified.

On a tip from Wiggins.
