Venezuelans Protest Tightening of Chavez's Totalitarian Grip

Not everyone is as happy to see Venezuela degenerate into a socialist police state as certain Democrat politicians. This weekend tens of thousands took to the streets in Caracas to protest the closing of Venezuela's most popular television station, RCTV, for not falling in line with Hugo Chavez's thuggish left-wing regime.

On Friday the order came down for the military to seize control of the RCTV's installations and equipment. After 53 years on the air, its license is not being renewed for explicitly political reasons.

Meanwhile Chavez's goons spray-painted the headquarters of Globovision, the last Venezuelan station that is still offering resistance to Chavez. It won't be around for long.

But it's not as if Venezuela is a dictatorship. Chavez was democratically elected. Just ask Jimmy Carter.

Venezuelans are still putting up resistance.

This just in:

"In another totalitarian move, Bush has closed down Comedy Central, CNN, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and ABC for their continued opposition to his policies and for their constant barrage of left-wing propoganda directed at undermining his administration.

"Democratic leaders and liberal activists, including Cindy Sheehan, Nancy Pelosi, et al, derided the move, stating that Bush should 're-align his thinking' to be more like 'benevalent el Presidente Chavez or the great revolutionary Castro' who, as they put it, are 'shining examples of the type of leadership and government for which we strive'.

"The move was also predicted by foriegn policy expert Rosie O'Donnell, who stated 'I gave you all fair warning! Remember, we are evil terrorists, not like our socialist brethen to the south, or those poor Islamic Extremist who, though they blow themselves up to kill women and children in the name of Peace, are themselves mothers and fathers.' Rosie made other similar comments but the broadcast was suddenly cut off for unknown reasons. Sources say someone resembling President Bush was seen sneaking around the television control room at the time."

this alternate reality has been brought to you by a deranged-socialist-loving-liberal.

It wasn't a dictatorship when Chavez was elected; no, it only became one, when Chavez displayed his egomaniacal, Castro-like brand of leadership. Asking the Venezuelain congress to give him such dramatic powers last year, that is when his Castro-gene kicked in.

He has aligned his Venezuela with Iran, whom he thinks is a coming world power. His Venezuela will follow their lead in cutting off crude oil when Iran does, to America.
Watch this space for the spark which ignites WWIII.

Think it's a tad late for rebellion. Kind of like aborting the baby after its born, graduated from high school and has left home.

Option #1: assasinate Chavez and ALL his cronies. Throw in Carter as a bonus and favor to us.

Option #2: Come here and help us keep our Republic before our leftist government throws it away.

Has anyone seen a comment from Danny Glover on this issue? Three days ago He and Chavez were all over the television with news of Chavez's agreement to fund Glover's pet movie project...has no one knocked on Danny's door for a direct comment on the developing situation in his adoptive country?

Where is the media sensation?
