Short and Fat People to Join the Lucky Ranks of the Oppressed

Good news for short and fat people: they are joining the lucky legions of the oppressed.
Always at the cutting edge of intrusive moonbattery, Massachusetts is considering a ban on discrimination based on height or weight. The Chicago Sun-Times explains why such legislation is required:
Ellen Frankel stands just 4-foot-8 inches tall, a size that allowed larger co-workers to playfully scoop her up at the office and make remarks about her height. Some even patted her on the head.
Equality before the law is all well and good — until people start getting patted on the head. Then bureaucrats have no choice but to resort to special laws to protect special people.
Fat people are special too. Snivels 300-pound piano teacher Jeanne Toombs:
No matter what you think of fat people, they deserve to be treated like human beings.
That is, they deserve special victim status, placing them above us normal folk in the legal caste system.
The good news for the rest of us is that sooner or later victim groups will proliferate to the point that everyone will qualify as defective. Then we'll have equality again.
Unless you can get credit for belonging to multiple victim groups. If that's the case, there's no way a one-eyed lesbian with a weight problem is going to get the job if there's a one-eyed lesbian with a weight problem and a cleft palate who wants it.

On tips from Nanc and Wiggins.
