Sarkozy Wins, Moonbats Riot

French moonbats reacted to the election of relatively conservative Nicolas Sarkozy as you might expect — by rioting.

Police were forced to resort to tear gas and water cannons at the Place de la Bastille, as leftist sociopaths wearing masks threw bottles, stones, and whatever else came to hand. Anarchists burned Sarkozy in effigy while chanting "police everywhere, justice nowhere."

Imagine the chaos that would ensue if there weren't enough police to prevent moonbats from imposing their hellish conception of "justice." Worse still, imagine the carnage if the moonbats controlled the police. This has come to pass in places like Russia, China, Cambodia, and Cuba, resulting in a nine-figure death toll. Fortunately France is moving in the opposite direction.

The riots weren't even half as big as the media put about. In fact the BBC world service sounded quite manic in its portrayal of them. It almost seemed like they were trying to encourage more... but they'd never do that. Would they?

One of Sarkozy's publicly-stated first orders of business, on the other hand, will be to pull French troops out of Afghanistan.

Makes one wonder if he's really some kind of crypto-moonbat. I suspect there really is no such thing as a real conservative in France.

A number of my fellow military collector/enthusiast friends went over to France in '94 for the 50th D-Day Anniversary (which was sadly gummed up by then-President Clinton's nauseating photo-ops), and they all commented on the fact that they never ran into an unfriendly or ungrateful Frenchman during their stay. The only reason I bring this up is to say that despite all the over-the-top Moonbattery that eminates from France, there are indeed a number of decent people there- perhaps it was they who made the difference this time around. You folks are right, though- it still remains to be seen. One thing encouraging to me, though...I understand that Sarkozy refers publicly to the Muslim rioters as "scum". Sure wish more of our officials here in the States would take that kind of courage against the various outlaws seeking to tear us down.

It's not "moonbats" that are rioting, it's Muslim immigrants.

Go git 'em, Sarkozy! :)

To be honest, I don't give a fart in a high wind about French politics, but for purely selfish reasons, I'm sorry Sarkozy won. The French chick was hot! She was living proof that not all female Leftists look like Andrea Dworkin.
