San Francisco Attacks Second Amendment Again
Mayor Gavin Newsom is backing another assault on the Second Amendment in San Francisco, where legislation would chip away at what remains of our right to defend ourselves from armed criminals. It comes one year after a judge struck down a law that would ban handgun possession throughout the city.
Possession of a gun would be banned on any city-owned property, including housing projects, if Newsom gets his way. Those guns that liberals don't have the leverage to confiscate yet would be required to be kept locked away.
District Attorney Kamala Harris took the opportunity to send a chill up the spine of anyone who remembers that this is supposed to be America:
Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn't mean that we're not going to walk into that home and check to see if you're being responsible and safe in the way that you conduct your affairs.
At least criminals won't be inconvenienced. Their guns tend to be illegally owned anyway, as Harris admits.

Here's betting they allow breech loaders.
Professional courtesy, and all that.

Apparently Kamala Harris forgot about the Fourth Amendment as well as the Second.
And then there's this:
Feinstein, Dems Seek Gonzales No-Confidence Vote
(AP) WASHINGTON Two Senate Democrats said Thursday they will seek a no-confidence vote on Attorney General Alberto Gonzales over accusations that he carried out President Bush's political agenda at the expense of the Justice Department's independence.
Apparently the Dems have forgotten about the separation of powers, you know, the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches. The Justice Department falls under the Executive branch.

Yeah especially those criminals sitting in San Francisco's City Hall, Sacramento's State House, and Washington, DC.
All for naught. None of these people, including the judges that get to rule on these matters, give a flying fuck what the Bill of Rights and the Constitution say.
Thanks to the Second Amendment, guns are legal, period. Any judge that refuses to take that stand should be shot.

Well, I wouldn't say that. Publicly humiliated would be more fun. Maybe dress them up in a tutu or a g-string and parade them around the Castro district.

Steve, for Newsom, I'm not sure that punishment would be all that humiliating.

Probably not. I was responding to RWR's comment about judges.
