I said "conservative" NOT "A Conservative", there is a diffrence just as there is a diffrence between being "liberal" and being "a Liberal" (The latter is a POLITICAL alliance). Look again ASSHAT, I said that those men were "conservative patriots", I did NOT say that they were "Conservatives". But compared to the present-day politics, they ARE "Conservatives". Let's use Reagan's entire presidency as the "example". Billions of dollars of debt, Iran/Contra...Funding Saddam's regime, as well as providing funds and weapons to Iranians....I could go on....Reagan helped support two "terrorist" regimes in Iraq and Iran, as well as others in Central America.

As an Anarchist punker in the 80s I hated Reagan but I have warmed up to him a little bit these days, but it is undeniable that his presidency turned the country around from the economic malaise of the seventies.

It is rare that someone says that Reagan wasnt a good president and that the country did well under his administration. Even many Democrats admit this.
