Non-Moonbat Professor Driven Out For Citing George Washington

Ever wonder how such a high percentage of college professors turn out to be raving moonbats? It isn't by chance. Here's what happens to professors who don't conform.

Professor Walter Kehowski at Glendale Community College near Phoenix sent out George Washington's "Thanksgiving Day Proclamation of 1789" in an email to his colleagues. Worse, the email included a link to conservative Pat Buchanan's website, from which Kehowski took the address. For this crime, he has been placed on forced administrative leave. His termination has been recommended by the head of the school. Soon he will be out of a job, and there will be one fewer non-moonbat in academia.

The pretext for sending Kehowski to the guillotine is the Maricopa County Community College District's policy against sending out emails that don't "support education, research, scholarly communication, administration, and other MCCCD business." An ad for buying goats for orphans in Uganda, Women's History Month propaganda, and information on the health benefits of eating bananas have qualified. An address by the father of our country does not.

One day even knowing his name will be grounds for firing.

On a tip from Wiggins.

Firing a history professor for professing History? No wonder our universities are in trouble.

Yeah, everyone knows he should have sent out one of Lenin's speeches.

Unfortunately, college is a necessary evil (I'm a student).

I found a post recently that is sort of relevant.

The very idea of this country is repulsive to some people. Others, like the poster of the above, refuse to see anything good (unless a Democrat is in charge).

George Washington is a fact of American history, but that doesn't matter. America is evil, according to the leftards, so he's evil. Nevermind the fact that they probably would exist without him.

Look, they trashed this prof because Geo W (the real one) cited our Creator several times within the document (which was a national declaration and therefore an historical document). It's incredibly moving and intelligent. Having Americans read it proves (once again), that this country was founded on CHRISTIAN principles despite all the vomit out there stating otherwise. Some of the readers of the e-mail, reminded of this fact were offended. Well we can't have leftist nitwits and atheists suffering offense because of the truth now can we? BTW, what's the address of the school's dean? I feel a letter coming on...

Steve,

I'm not sure if you were referring to me... in case you were, perhaps I should clarify myself. No, I don't want to spend more time in a leftist/communist indoctrination tank... not any more time than I have too. I say "have too" because otherwise I can't get to where I want to go. (dental school)

Uhhhh, what part of this email is NOT "scholarly communication"? He sent it to his fellow scholars (pardon my French). That's "scholarly communication" where I come from. Another "crime" created out of a non-crime.

Imagine his penalty had he quoted Lincoln, or heaven forbid!, George W. Bush.

I'm sure Steve was refering to the poster in the link.

billfry,

It's just a way of manner of speaking. And ok, I agree, I'll change it to: "College is a place that I don't want to be in, but have to." Better? :-)

I do get a lot of bs rammed down my throat (i.e. humanities), but there are also some things I actually need to learn, and things that are beneficial for me to learn (i.e. science).
