Meteorologist Augie Auer: Global Warming Will Be Considered a Joke in 5 Years
At the Mid Canterbury Federated Farmers annual meeting in Ashburton, New Zealand last week, meteorologist Augie Auer made a prediction you can bank on regarding the Great Global Warming Hoax:
It's all going to be a joke in five years.
The greenhouse effect that will supposedly lead to catastrophic global warming is caused almost entirely by water vapor. Without the greenhouse effect, Earth would be too cold to sustain human life.
Whereas water vapor makes up 95% of greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide comes in at 3.6% — of which 3.2% results from human activity. That is, people contribute a thoroughly insignificant 0.1152% of greenhouse gases. As Auer noted, we couldn't change the climate if we wanted to.
Auer attributes climate change hysteria to a combination of faulty science, media hype, and political spin.
Meanwhile, antihuman environmental fanatics are going after our food supply, using their bureaucrat pawns to target farms for producing too much CO2.
"It's become a witch-hunt," says Auer. "A Salem witch-hunt."

I love to reject compliments I get from greeni weenies for riding my bike to work. Really I just do it because it's a short enough ride, gas is expensive and it's good exercise. I like to frame my response with my understanding that riding your bike to work for the reason of saving the world is just a feel-good placebo for morons.

A joke in 5 years? Isn't it a joke (to thinking people) NOW?

Yea, read this yesterday... good stuff. And yes, it is a joke now... for thinking people only.

The Green Communists won't like this (because it's real science), but remediation is more effective than mitigation in reducing the effects of climate change.

The Great Global Warming Swindle made it back onto YouTube.

I downloaded the 200MB file when it was still up as one part. Too bad it has to make it's way around the internet like an underground cult classic.

CO2 is 0.038% of atmospheric gasses. You are 100x off.
Also water vapor exists between 0 and 4% and changes daily as well as regionally. As a vapor it absorbs 3000x more solar radiation (and converts it to heat) than CO2 does per volume. When crystallized in the upper atmosphere as clouds, water actually reflects radiation.
There is such variability of warming due to H20, and considering the greenhouse effect of CO2 is dwarfed by atmospheric H20, there must be some other reason for a steady rise in global temperature over the past 15-20 years than atmospheric gasses.

oops soory, 3.6% of greenhouse gasses. that seems ok!

A previous poster wrote that water absorbs much more solar radiation than does carbon dioxide, and that therefore carbon dioxide must play a trivial role in global warming compared to water. The poster has apparently uncovered one of Al "algore" Gore's liberal tricks to try to deceive good hard-working talk-radio listeners like himself.
Unfortunately, the poster is not as good in science as he is in listening to the radio. Carbon dioxide does not heat the Earth by absorbing solar radiation, it raises the Earth's temperature by absorbing a NON-solar radiation known as blckbody radiation, coming from the Earth as a consequence of the Earth having a non-zero absolute temperature. The blackbody radiation is concentrated in the infrared range, in contrast to sun-light. Carbon dioxide is largely transparent to sun-light coming in, but opaque to infrared, thus blocking the Earth from cooling due to emission of infrared radiation.
The physics of this was worked on by Max Planck and Albert Einstein around 100 years ago, but "conservatives" prefer their "science" from Rush and Sean to Max and Albert.
