Lou Barletta Wins Both Nominations
Republicans lacking the backbone to address the illegal alien crisis might learn a lesson from Hazleton, Pennsylvania Mayor Lou Barletta, who got himself into hot water with the ACLU by cracking down on invaders with his Illegal Immigration Relief Act.
Barletta is up for reelection to a third term. It looks like he'll be around for awhile. Not only did he win the Republican nomination with 94% of the vote, he also won the Democrat nomination as a write-in candidate in a town where Dems hold a 2-1 edge over Republicans in registrations.
The lesson should be obvious: if you dispense with the moonbattery and stand up for our country, the voters will reward you.
