Most definitely. I have a Denis Leary comedy CD where he points out something like that. He's talking about how the good musicians always die relatively young (Though I wouldn't even consider Lennon that good of a musician, he was okay with the Beatles, but Yoko really brought out the obnoxious, tone- deaf egomaniac in him), while the bad musicians always live on for decades and put out even more nauseating crap they refer to as music.
