Fred Thompson Slaps Down Michael Moore

Posted by Dave Blount at May 15, 2007 7:09 PM

The verminous Michael Moore has once again demonstrated his arrogance and monstrously bloated sense of self-importance by challenging Fred Thompson to a debate (his letter to Thompson is currently on Drudge). Thompson's response indicates he may be just the man we need in the White House:

You know, I've been looking at my schedule, Michael, and I don't think I have time for you. But I may be the least of your problems. You know, the next time you're down in Cuba visiting your buddy Castro, you might ask him about another documentary filmmaker. His name is Nicolas Guillen. He did something Castro didn't like, and they put him in a mental institution for several years, giving him devastating electroshock treatments. A mental institution, Michael. Might be something you ought to think about.

Here's the video.

The filmmaker Thompson refers to is Nicolás Guillén Landrián. He won several awards at European film festivals, then got into deep trouble by making a movie that mocked Hollywood's heartthrob Castro. But Moore doesn't need to worry, because he only ridicules leaders who respect freedom of speech, while sucking up to dictators like Castro and Saddam.
