DU Moonbats Pay Their Respects to Jerry Falwell

As you've probably heard, Jerry Falwell has passed away. The nutroots — powerful new base of the Democrat Party — have been quick to thank him for a life spent trying to prevent our culture from swirling down the toilet. Here are some examples of what the commenters at Democratic Underground have to say (please excuse the language):

It's good that the son of a bitch is dead
What a fucking crime this is... he will no doubt be hailed as some sort of martyred saint. I'm going to be sick...
About fucking time. Buh-buy, Foulball.
As far as I'm concerned, he lived too long.
Good riddance. I'm not going to pretend to be respectful.
Only spite and scorn for this asshole... NOT a single good thing to say... Too all those who say/want to say a good thing about this EVIL "man" - would you say kind things about Hitler?... I am soo ever joyful and heartened at this GOOD news!...
Praise the Lord this fucker is dead.
Be interesting to see what Repukes show up at the funeral Actually might be more interesting to see if any of the national Repukes don't show up. Probably count that group on one hand with 4 fingers missing.
Rot in Hell Falwell!
RIP? how about RIA Rest in Anguish
HURRAY!!!!!! ROT in Hell you piece of shit! NO condolences ever!!!!
Hopefully, God will meet him at the Pearly Gates... wearing pink speedos, a pink feather boa, and red high heels.
Thank you for the good news, the world is a better place today!!!
Ding dong the pr*ck is dead....which ol' pr*ck?...the wicked pr*ck. :doing the DearAbby Okie Dokie dance, dashing quickly into doing "my MooMoo CanCan!"
Now who's going to have sex with his mother in an outhouse?
If God finally decided to waste him.... then I might start believing in him...naaaahhh, took too fucking long to kill the sonovabitch.....should waxed him decades ago....
Rest In Piss
Fuck him and good riddance.
I'm glad the fat shithead is dead may his family join him soon.
rot in the grave you piece of filth.. A-FUCKING-MEN!!!
I am really upset by his sudden death... why couldn't it have been a lingering and painful one...
I'm putting on my dancing shoes and am going to look for his grave!
Fuck Fartwell and all his EVIL. The world is a better place now... The world was WORSE off for him having been BORN... Be glad and REJOICE - one more evil has been lifted from us!
My only complaint is that he did not die sooner, and didn't go with enough pain and suffering in the process.
Fuck him. Fuck him when he was alive, and fuck him just as much now that he's fucking dead.
I CELEBRATE his death! I AM JOYFUL THAT THIS FILTH IS GONE! You say you have a gay brother - But yet YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND AT ALL. Would you not celebrate HITLER's passing? This creature was nearly as bad... If Hitler is over the top for you, you don't get my message at all - how about Jeffery Dalhmer? Is that more to you liking? I could name others, but I'm afraid the point is lost on you...
See? Prayer *does* work! Then again, I've been praying that God "calls him home" for more than 20 years.
This is the best news I've heard all day. […]thinking about Falwell being Satan's boyfriend in hell just makes the world a little bit brighter.
decades too late imo. If I'm ever in a cemetary with his grave there, I will tap dance on it. I've got a great stomping routine waiting for Cheney.
Here's to hoping he is in the bowels of hell pleading for his soul One of the ten worst Americans alive this morning is now dead. It has been a good day!
Looking forward to wiping my ass with that obituary tomorrow.

Et cetera, et cetera, ad nauseam — and these were just the comments that didn't get deleted by moderators. The reason liberals are so full of hate for Jerry Falwell is that according to them, he was full of hate.

Thank you Reverend Falwell, for trying to make the world a little less like a left-wing website.

On a tip from Conan.

Comments

Take solace in the fact that the amount of hatred shown by the left toward a person is directly proportional to how correct that person is.

Posted by: pocomoco at May 15, 2007 3:41 PM

I saw that he died a little earlier today.

It is very hard to have compassion for the DU folk given this kind of behavior, but I don't ever see myself behaving as they did when an opponent dies.

And you did see this, right?

Fred Thompson smacks down on Moore. Via Drudge.

Posted by: Steve at May 15, 2007 3:54 PM

the left is a sick puppy - how does one even respond to this type of behavior? it doesn't seem right to go at their throats as they do u.s. they're just ill - i pray it's not terminal. hell is not a pretty place, nor is the hell they must live in everyday with such hatred in their hearts and minds.

Posted by: nanc at May 15, 2007 3:56 PM

Will Fred Phelps be picketing the funeral?

Posted by: V the K at May 15, 2007 5:22 PM

Pray for Mr. Falwell to rot in hell.

No rhyme intended.

Remember the last Beatitude.

Ah, yes, the party of compassion! They'll cry when Fidel assumes room temperature, if he hasn't already, when Hugo has his throat cut by the generals who take over in a coup d'etat, when Kim Jong Mentally Il watches one too many porno movies and masturbates himself to death (not a pretty sight, I grant you), but as soon as anyone not a radical liberal nutroot (much less someone who's a genuine conservative) passes away, they take the time to celebrate -- yes, actually celebrate -- that passing as the greatest thing since sliced bread (as if anyone in the real world cares what the hell they think).

You wingnuts are a hypersensitive bunch. No wonder so few of you have the stones to serve as infantryman.

Posted by: indierik at May 15, 2007 8:03 PM

i am an infantryperson! and, have a sensitive trigger finger...

tom - christians are told to not pray for the dead - they know nothing according to the psalms. their lives will be their testimony before the Lord at the appropriate time. falwell has his rewards coming, and perhaps some taken away, but he is at rest in the Lord at this moment - if i were a betting person, would lay some money on it.

Oh moonbats and non-moonbats alike, be careful about wishing that someone should "rot in hell". Falwell wasn't a favorite of mine but we're not to judge what happens to another's soul. That's for our Creator to decide.

(See Matt 5:22)...Christ said: "Whoever shall say to his brother, “Raca”, shall be in danger of the council: but whoever shall say, “You fool”, shall be in danger of hell fire."

”Raca” is from: Strong's #4469 rhaka; of Aramaic origin; “O empty one”, i.e. “worthless one” (as a term of utter vilification). In other words: (saying) that God can’t do anything of worth with that person and they will likely not be saved from the day of judgment.

and...“You Fool” is from: Strong's #3474 moros-; foolish, impious, godless, Heretic. This is distinct from the other word for a stupid person: #878 aphron: mindless, i.e. stupid.

In plain English: telling someone to "go to hell", "rot in hell" etc. is the same as sitting in God's seat...the same as judging someone to eternal death. And the Lord REALLY get's pissed to the gills when someone tries to take His place. Doing that will get you in hot water...literally.

This should suprise no one. Its just the anti-American, Anti-Christian, lunatic left moonbat cabal showing there true colors. And these nuts accuse Christians and Conservatives of being mean spirited? Unreal....

Posted by: Anonymous at May 16, 2007 4:51 AM

Dr. Falwell was a favorite of mine. I'm not ashamed in anyway to declare that fact. May he rest in peace, may his family be comforted, and may his legacy live on (as I know it shall).

He was a Baptist. Homosexuals and liberals who would have the human moral code rewritten to whitewash their transgressions hate all Baptists.

I'm not surprised by the rabid, hateful, foaming-at-the-mouth, obscene, and vulgar comments from the Democrat base - hate is what they stand for. What this clearly demonstrates is the great chasm that is now America - the moral on the right side and the morally challenged on the left.

Posted by: Jimbo at May 16, 2007 6:03 AM

Tacky. I wasn't a particular fan or non-fan...I didn't give Falwell much thought from day to day. But as to those who so gleefully (and in such a vile manner) cheer his passing, I wonder about their sense of perspective. They may not have liked or agreed with his views, but to compare the man to Hitler or Jeffrey Dahmer is really beyond the pale.

Posted by: Pam at May 16, 2007 6:32 AM

'zactly, jimbo! anyone who feels threatened by this man probably has a bone to pick with our Maker.

and pam - one does not have to be a fan of the man to know how to respect the dead - i didn't always agree with his tactics, but at least he was big enough to say what was on his heart.

we cannot be theologically correct at all times, but we can be biblically correct most of the time if we take the time. he took the time and died while doing it.

Posted by: nanc at May 16, 2007 6:47 AM

Jerry Falwell isn't going to hell OR heaven, because neither of those places really exist.

They are fairytales told and retold by folks to cowardly to accept that when life ends, that's it.

Posted by: Snerdly at May 16, 2007 7:43 AM

Nanc, I certainly do not approve of the vile comments VH so bravely wallowed through to copy for us here. I agree, you do not have to like someone in order to know how to respect the dead, something these fools obviously never learned. I guess I didn't make that clear enough in my previous comment.

Posted by: Pam at May 16, 2007 7:44 AM

Actually "snerdly", your dismissal heaven & hell is cowardly.

If I knew that this flesh existence was "it" I'd be very relieved since all of my thoughts and actions would have no accountability beyond my time here. But to know that God exists is to be held accountable, and that accountability is what atheists and others fear. Religion does hold false concepts of heaven/hell due to control issues where men seek to control others, but that doesn't mean that some form of these realms or states doesn't exist. My main qualm with fundamentalists is that they hold a non-biblical view of hell. In Revelation, "death and hell" shall be destroyed, meaning all who are not of God shall cease to exist. Their "torment" shall be brief. But yes, these "states" do exist whether we want them "to be" or not.

Posted by: fellowes at May 16, 2007 9:44 AM

To all detractors who posted here:
What happened to the Liberals' demand that WE "respect other cultures"? Come on, practice what you preach!

Posted by: KHarn at May 16, 2007 1:11 PM

"But yes, these "states" do exist whether we want them "to be" or not."

And what exactly is your evidence for the existence of these states?

Posted by: airforce at May 16, 2007 2:58 PM

pam - i knew what you meant.

Posted by: nanc at May 16, 2007 2:58 PM

Airforce...the evidence is the Word of YHVH. But none of us need believe. We'll soon see for ourselves.
