Dem Senators React to Illegal Alien Terrorists By Pushing Amnesty
On learning that three of the Muslim terrorists who planned to murder American soldiers at Fort Dix were illegal aliens, Senate Democrats knew just how to respond: grant amnesty to illegal aliens.
Liberal nincompoop Robert Menendez (D-NJ) raved that the Fort Dix plot makes shamnesty "more compelling," because if we legalize the illegals, they won't be criminals anymore, and if they aren't criminals, they'll start obeying our laws by registering with the government, even if they are terrorists, so that we can keep tabs on them.
Patrick Leahy (D-VT) pursues the same amnesty objective from a slightly different tack:
It would be a real tragedy if we tried to make this immigration debate one dealing with terrorism. We certainly believe that the borders should be secure and we're going to do everything we can to make sure the borders are secure.
The Best Congress Money Can Buy responds:
Everything, that is, except build a secure border fence, fully staff the Border Patrol, provide the Border Patrol with state-of-the-art equipment, back up the Border Patrol with the National Guard, deport those who enter the country illegally, prosecute companies who hire illegals, question immigrants about the legality of their status during traffic stops, and end the welfare incentives for illegal immigrants.
Leahy continued to bloviate emptily:
We'll fight terrorists. We'll fight homegrown terrorists. We'll fight terrorists coming from outside our shores.
The BCMCB:
Unless fighting them involves sending troops to the countries where the operate, supporting allies in the Middle East against Islamic extremists, carrying out surveillance of terrorists and terrorist groups, imprisoning suspected terrorists, or interrogating terrorists with anything more severe than polite questioning over tea.
Leahy also saw fit to remind us for the 999th time that Timothy McVeigh was an American citizen. Why, he had even been in the military.
No wonder Muslim terrorists want this country run by Democrats.

Leaky will stop the terrorists dead in their tracks by leaking so much National Security Information the get confused and commit suicide. Works for me.

Yes, Mickey, he did (in not a very nice way); this was directly after a vicious personal public attack by Leahy against Cheney on the Senate Floor, which was sheer political posturing on Leahy's part (at the expense of a much better man than he, of course-typical Moonbattery).
